Storybrooke Farms specializes in Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation and Dressage. Our objective is to provide children and amateur owners with competitive partners who are confident, safe, and athletic. Safety and horsemanship are top priorities. Storybrooke students not only to work toward mastering skills while mounted, but also to learn proper care and handling, as well as a basic understanding of equine psychology. We compete at all levels of shows from schooling to the ‘AA’ Circuit and instruct beginner through advanced riders. We are based out two of a beautiful facilities, one in Chapel Hill within 15 minutes of UNC and Duke, as well as in Wake Forest, 15 minutes north of downtown. Traveling Trainer services are offered on a limited basis within the Triangle. Trailer-In lessons are also welcome at either facility.

Lessons are taught by a certified American Riding Instructor, with over 26 years of experience competing, training, teach and showing all over the midwest and east coast. I instruct riding lessons in Hunter/Jumpers and Eventing up to Beginner/Novice. I also teach the basics of riding and horse care for anyone curious about horses. I am fully capable and able to teach students ranging from beginners up to intermediate riders. Most instruction will take place at Rolling Hill Ranch on Marks Road; a very safe and secure location for riding. I have over two years of experience in preparing students for various level of horse showing and I have been participating in competition riding for 12 years. Our academy is based on a structured program that has proven and applied itself for the past 30+ years. We called it EQUES rider. This program is based on level. The student start at Rider 1, and will work to achieve their Rider 4 certification. Each student will learn and practice the skills necessary to graduate to the next level.
Our mission is to teach our riders to become better horsemen and horsewomen. Horse care, proper body position, safety around horses and body control are some examples of what our program teaches. Each Student will learn and apply important skills that can be used in any discipline they would like to pursue.
