Currently accepting Intermediate/advanced students only - this means riders that are able to walk, trot, canter, and catch/tack up their own horses. We have a dynamic space on an 11 acre farm with a talented, diversified, animated, entertaining instructor, specializing in teaching fun, exciting lessons to established equestrians. Come ride in a beautiful area with woods, trails, giant open fields, on wonderful horses. We have loads of cross country jumps, hills, wide open spaces, lots of fun!!

Lessons are $80 each, small group lessons with up to 5 riders. We do accept haul-in lessons if you want to bring your own horse.

We also offer trail rides for beginners-advanced, up to 5 people in a group, for $100 per person. By Appointment only.

Cristin Kyle is a horsemanship trainer who believes in building trust, respect, and confidence in both horses and riders. Teaching how to build a better relationship is the foundation of her training methods. From the ground up through the saddle, she strongly believes this is the basis of safety with horses.

Working with horses and people from any discipline, she believes that your saddle choice should not change the core of your training nor should it affect your relationship with your horse. This is how she came to name her business Stable Relationships.

Cristin believes in continuous learning, from professionals, students, and horses. Each horse has something to contribute, as they are our best teachers. She understands and respects that both you and your horse are individuals and should be treated as such. In her opinion there is no ‘cookie-cutter’ method for every individual or horses or ‘30 day miracles’.

Cristin helps riders learn to better read their horses on the ground, from head to tail – there is a lot to be said in their expressions alone. This transfers to saddle work as well, and helps build a more responsive horse. As well as creating more confidence as a rider, or horse and rider team. She also teaches riders to feel their subtle movements as often as possible to create a better release point, horses learn from the release of pressure and riders should learn to give to a horse as quickly as possible.

Breaking down the more complicated tasks for you and your horse to bring it back to a place where you both can be successful, are the building blocks for success. Cristin wants you to leave feeling better about yourself, your horse, and both of your abilities combined, whether it is through her training, a clinic or a riding lesson on one of her horses.

Meet Our Head Trainer:
Diane DeRienzis has 25 yrs. experience teaching, training and barn management. She started her riding career on Long Island in New York where she competed as a junior, amateur and professional in Hunters, Equitation and Jumpers. Her goal is to instill confidence and skill in her riders so that they can connect with their horses in a successful partnership whether their goal is to show on the A circuit or to pleasure ride.

Charissa Loftin has been a part of the equestrian world since the age of 8 when she began taking lessons at TTC in Mocksville, NC. Growing up she succesfully competed on the A Circuit and later decided to become a trainer. Charissa has enjoyed teaching riders of all ages and levels for over 20 years and says that the most inspirational part of teaching is watching a rider accomplish something that they didnt thing was possible, no matter how small an accomplishment it is. Charissa believes that every day is a learning experience and that she learns just as much from her students and horses as they learn from herWe are excited to have Charissa join our Sunset Ridge family and help take our students to the next level in the Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation rings.

Lynn O. Boon, BHSAI began riding as a child at the Inverclyde Riding Center in Scotland. She was a working pupil at the center and grew through the ranks of Pony Club while competing in one day events. At 15 years old, she was commissioned to begin the riding program for the Earl of Glasgow at Kelburn Estates. She was the Stable Manager and Head Instructor for several years, and provided the start to what is now a thriving equestrian center. Lynn became a working student for the BHSAI at Bowfield Riding and Country Club, where she worked with Point-to-Point racehorses as part of her program. Lynn believes that "Dressage is a journey every horse and rider should take" and has used this montra in training her students on a variety of horses from Standardbred to Holstiener across the United States. Lynns 30+ years of experience training horses and riders has brought her to Sunset Ridge where she will be teaching lower (through 1st level) dressage. Lynn plans to spread her "dressage is for everyone" message while introducing the foundations of dressage to riders old and young, and horses of every breed and from every discipline. In addition to classic Dressage Lynn will also be teaching Western and Gaited Dressage to those who are interested.

Leah Barnes is one of our most competent and caring trainers, she specializes with tending to and schooling our youngest riders. MWM riding Camp is family owned and operated. We provide lessons for ages 3 and up. We are taking our youth off the streets and putting them in a saddle. We believe an hour of riding can change a child's life. We have a safe, comfortable, affordable, and loving environment. We also offer some therapeutic riding. MWM has a game room, class room, trail, outside arena, and much more. We welcome all riders. Lessons start at $15.00/hr so we can reach children that normally would not be able to get riding lessons. I have had the best training from all over the world since I was 4. I love being able to share the great training I've had with others. I am very big on the fundamentals of riding (flat work, flat work, flat work) I enjoy teaching students the importance of flat work, then watching my students develop their technique while improving their horse in every aspect. I am best training intermediate riders (of any age) up to the advanced (Grand Prix/Professional) level. I excelled showing/training in the hunters & Eq. as well as the jumpers. I started competing in at the Grand Prix level when I was 16 (right before Young Riders) In 2006 I represented the US in Europe on the Global Champions Tour. I would really love to help any rider that simply just loves to ride/show to a rider that is striving to be a professional one day soon.
I can also help with any horse training from breaking young horses to a top level show horse.
