USPC certified riding instructor of children and adults of all ages on my horse or your own. My 18 lovely horses live here at my private ranch 2 miles off Rt. 15 in Poway/Ranch Bernardo. My teaching has an emphasis on balanced safe riding in the arena, over fences, on the trail and in local shows. Disciplines include Hunter/Jumper, Equitation, Horse trials, Dressage, Pleasure, Trail riding, and very importantly; good Horsemanship. We are located in the little paradise of Valle Verde Ranch in Poway, with a large arena with colorful jumps, and lovely trails going to Blue Sky, Lake Poway and Old Coach. We create safe and competent horsemen from the start. Instruction provided by a carded horseshow judge with over 40 years of training and competition experience. Instruction available in English, western, equitation, pleasure, trail and general horsemanship. Three hour long Horse Experiences are available for families, their guests and tourists. Located in Southern California, Stevenson Riding School offers both English Riding Lessons and Horsemanship Classes which are given by a Certified Riding Instructor. Ages 6 through Adult. Beginners to jumping level. Boarding available.

We also offer mobile instruction to riders in Ventura County and Los Angeles County who have their own horses and ponies AND to private facilities looking to add a once-a-week lesson program for their borders.

We specialize in teaching beginners ages 6-17, but cater to any student who wants to learn about horses.
