Forte's hunter, jumper, equitation riding lesson program offers experienced, professional staff focused on you. The program is run by USHJA certified instructor Allison Howson who holds a degree in Equestrian Studies degree from the University of Findlay, and has nearly 15 years of professional experience. Rushlow’s has four trainers on staff and two additional instructors. Combined we have over 150 years worth of equine experience out in the ring educating riders of all ages.

Our lessons are geared to match the level of the rider(s) adjusting and changing the approach we take to match the individual. We spend time educating our students on all aspects of the horse, from body parts to breed. Our programs cover everything from proper stall etiquette, tacking up a horse, leading the horse, mounting, dismounting, and last but not least, actually riding.

We have in excess of 12 lesson horses on staff at any given time. Our horses are ready and willing to help teach individuals of all ages about the art of riding. Most of our lesson horses are retired show horses that have had a wealth of experience in the show ring and are now enjoying a second career educating and entertaining others.

Lessons can be booked with as little as 24-hour notice, but it is recommended that you book your lesson at least one week in advance to ensure you have a spot in the class or the time you desire is available for a private lesson.

Julie Bolas is the on site instructor/trainer at Dovetail Dressage. She was certified through ARIPC Level 2 Dressage. She has shown successfully through Pre St. Georges and has started the USDF "L" judge program to further her education. She has most recently studied with Maryal Barnett, USDF "S" judge. Her emphasis is on proper riding basics and balance and creating harmony between horse and rider. Dovetail has limited schooling horses to begin your riding journey but also specializes in troubleshooting and correcting problems for more advanced riders. Julie has started many students on the path to successful ownership and showing on the schooling and recognized show circuits.
