Keli Wakeley began her career riding and training horses in 1997. She currently makes her home in Archer, Florida where she works for Camp Keystone as their Equine Director. Her career began in South Florida where she worked as a farm manager and quickly began riding with local trainers and soon began training and instructing for pleasure and show. In 2000 Keli was certified with the CHA for english and western disciplines and continued a freelance career riding, training and showing focusing on western pleasure, competitive trail, horsemanship, hunter under saddle, and equitation. After working as a veterinary technician for some time she then accepted a position with Camp Keystone and continues to freelance riding instruction and training in the north Florida area. DeNeve Eventing is based out of Stoney Hills Farm in Dade City, FL and offers training and coaching from Beginner Novice to Preliminary level. Lessons also available in Dressage and Show Jumping.

Lauren has been riding and competing for 24 years. She began her riding career as a member of the United States Pony Club, worked as an intern for several top ranked event and jumper trainers and has competed throughout the US.

She has been training young horses since she was 15 and has worked for various dressage, hunter/jumper and eventing barns. In 2001 she was 2nd in the nation at junior preliminary, won an international three day, and was a member of the Area V team at the North American Young Riders Championships. She has been teaching for 11 years and has helped several riders progress to the preliminary level and pony clubbers achieve ratings up to the A level. Her students have qualified for the American Eventing Championships and horses in training are in the ribbons in numerous divisions in Florida eventing competitions.

Stoney Hills is a 30 acre training facility with rolling hills that are great for galloping and fitness work, large grassy paddocks, full stadium course, and much more. Offering English riding lessons for the novice rider with a budding interest in horses to the accomplished equestrian. We have lesson horses suitable for all levels, safe ponies through horses able to jump 3'courses. We also provide flat work lessons for those wanting to brush up on their riding skills in general. DHEC's lesson program is world class. Our philosophy is to provide quality instruction by an experienced trainer with a focus on safety, horsemanship and fun. We offer lessons 6 days a week for both boarders and non-boarders alike. The first lesson will include an evaluation of the rider's level of experience and skill. After this lesson, we will place you into a private lesson or group lesson where you will ride with other students at a similar skill level.

We offer dressage and show jumping lessons plus have a 5-acre cross-country schooling field for eventing. We go to both h/j and eventing shows on a regular basis. Some of the local shows we attend are MSC, POP, Grand Oaks, Majestic Oaks, 3 Lakes, Sweet Dixie South, Barnstaple and Rocking Horse . We also attend rated dressage shows and eventing horse trials throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Specializing in those difficult OTTB's or the well-bred WB's, (we don't breed discriminate here, so bring it on!) From fresh off-the-track to bringing back from rehab or years spent in the pasture, our quality training at DHEC will show you the horse you were meant to ride! For the beginner, DHEC teaches how to tack up and basic horse care and grooming. We believe that taking care of your horse is an important part of the lesson program. Caring for your horse before and after each lesson makes each rider feel more comfortable around horses, teaches responsibility and allows the rider to feel closer to their mount. We start at the very beginning teaching balance as a number one priority.

For the more advanced riders, we offer an extensive lesson program focusing on safety and horsemanship so you can move up to that next level. The program features many school horses, group instruction, and frequent participation in local shows. DHEC provides additional services for the equestrian community, including offering horses both for sale and for lease.

Because the safety of our riders is extremely important, ALL riders must wear a helmet. We provide helmets for riders who do not have their own. Please wear long pants or breeches (jeans are ok). Paddock boots are ideal or a hard-soled boot with a small heel is acceptable (no tennis shoes).

Cara specializes in teaching remotely for dressage enthusiasts near and far. She creates a program curated to each horse and rider’s specific needs including ground work, proper basics and biomechanics and the fundamentals of classical dressage. Lessons are fun, education packed and rewarding. She hosts virtual dressage shows and ride-a-tests for all to join. Cara also has a private group for her students with extra training tips, equestrian yoga and a sense of barn family community.

Cara is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist, Multiple Regional and National Champion and USDF L Program graduate. Cara is a certified professional life coach through UCF.
