We strive to meet the lesson goals of all of our students no matter your age or experience so that you can reach your highest potential and achieve your riding goals. This program is tailored to the individual even within a semi-private lesson environment. Most lessons are individualized, but there are some semi-private lessons available. Lessons are designed to teach students the fundamentals of horsemanship and care, and progress forward as their abilities develop. Each student has a personal built lesson plan to increase the possibility of being successful since they have individualized attention and time to reflect for the future at the end of each session. We are an equestrian facility located in southeastern Hillsborough County. We specialize in beginner riders of all ages but cater to the advanced rider in the show ring as well. Safety is our first priority. Weekly riding lessons start with children as young as 5 years and continue through to the advanced rider. We have several levels of lesson horses available. Beginner through advanced summer camps are also available for both youth and adults. We also offer boarding and training. Our goal is to build confidence and independence in the new rider. In addition to learning how to ride, we teach the basics of good horsemanship and horse care starting from the ground up. Professional instruction by experienced riding instructor/trainer. I instruct children and adults and beginners to advanced. I have had riders and horses win on the "A" breed circuit, and have also had riders and horses win at Nationals and Top 10 at the World show for Morgans.

I keep lessons safe and fun and educational. I focus on developing a strong abdominal core for balance and strength. My facility, Arbordale LLC, is beautiful with covered riding and an air-conditioned viewing lounge for parents and friends and is convenient to both I-75 and I-275. I have a wonderful selection of lesson and show horses that I use for instruction.

I instruct riders in saddleseat, hunter seat, western pleasure, and harness. My focus is on the Morgan and Saddlebred breeds. I do take riders to little local shows and they can progress to larger breed shows and even Nationals if the opportunity presents. My pricing is affordable.

Horse Lover's Club: A Fun club of horse loving kids who are learning the basics of the animals we all love. We will explore the different varieties of riding through an hour group riding lesson. Then we will return to the barn, and our instructor will lead a fun, interactive horse science class that will improve your knowledge on anatomy, safety, care, barn management, and much more.
Note: This is a fun, beginner level educational session, participants may have a few take home assignments that they will be scheduled to bring back to their club meeting the next week.

Day Camp:
School is out? We are open! Join us during school breaks - Join us and our four-legged friends for a day of riding, fun, and meet new friends. SPACE IS LIMITED, SIGN UP AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY! Additional information can be found on our scheduling page or through Facebook.

We begin our day riding riding English or Western it is up to you. Not sure, or first time riding? Not a problem! Our instructor will be happy to assist you in choosing After riding, and our horses are bathed, and cooled, we break under the shade of the barn for our first hands-on Horse Science Lesson. What is a better way to learn than hands-on with our equine friends? Riders will learn the aspects of grooming, nutrition, anatomy, horse care, veterinary care, and much more during this session.

In the afternoon we break for lunch and cool down in the A/C or under one of our large oak trees. In the mid-afternoon Riders will work with their assigned Project Horse and participate in the various activities (show grooming, bathing, clipping, etc.)

In the late afternoon our riding sessions pick up again to include horseback games, or bareback riding.... See More

Kris started his career early on a breeding farm in New Mexico where he learned how to raise foals and break babies.

Seeking to learn the methodologies of training and horsemanship at the highest caliber, Kris moved to California to work with international Grand Prix and Longines FEI World Cup rider Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister.

It was here that Kris tuned his talents both as a rider and trainer with an extensive focus in work on the flat and gymnastics.The core of the program uses a sensitive approach to unlocking the horses’ muscles while riding, through massage and stretching. On several occasions Kris also had the unique opportunity to work closely with Buddy Brown. As Assistant Trainer to Jenni Martin-McAllister and Steve McAllister he worked long-hours diligently riding young horses, teaching and showing.

Kris competed on the “A” circuit at prestigious shows such as: Pebble Beach, Del Mar, the Oaks, and HITS Thermal Desert Circuit from Hunter Derbies to Grand Prix jumpers. Aboard “Fly” he successfully competed through the 1.45m jumper divisions. Onboard his mare, Shalimar he has successfully competed through the Grand Prix jumper Divisions.

Kris successfully trained students from beginners all the way to the Grand Prix. In 2014 Kris made the decision to open his own equestrian training facility, Kris Di Carlo Equestrian, that would ultimately allow for him to continue his dedication to the maintenance and well-being of horse and rider. The philosophy of classical horsemanship along with a growing understanding of the mechanics of the horse gives Kris the expertise to successfully care for and train a diverse group of horses and riders. Through his in depth knowledge of flatwork and gymnastics, Kris instills in horse and rider confidence and understanding of the technical aspects of jumping.

This system translates into success over courses and in the show ring. His knowledge, enthusiasm and dedication to horse and rider makes Kris an ideal trainer. Respect and encouragement is the keystone to his training program.

With over 13 years experience in the Hunter/jumper show industry Kris has a handle on just what it takes to succeed and meet rider's and horse's goals. Kris has worked all over the country for top trainers in the industry, including farms in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and California. Most notably for top International rider and trainers Jenni and Steve Mc Allister in California. After working for the best Kris has finally been able to put all is knowledge to work for himself and has opened his own farm. He has produced winning riders in the show ring from ponies to even bringing a young rider victories in Grand Prixs.
