I am very versatile and can work with about any one. I specialize in beginners and three day eventing. I'm great with kids and love to teach them about the horse and the equipment. Also work with problem horses.

I am a hunter/jumper trainer with over 20 years experience teaching riders from beginner up to the Grand Prix level. Quality school horses and tack are available. I am a licensed USEF judge, and I show and train at all levels of competition. My priority in training is to teach the horses and riders to be relaxed, confident, and happy. I believe in using classical training techniques to effectively communicate, listening to the horses and understanding what they are thinking and how this effects their ability to do their job. Andrea (Trainer) is very experienced in the Hunter/Jumper industry and has recently moved her business to The Colorado Horse Park. There are openings for new clients looking to get into jumping or for more advanced riders looking for a new passionate and goal oriented approach.
A limited number of safe school horses are also available for those who do not yet have a horse of their own.
The barn attends all levels of horse shows, from schooling shows to the "A" shows.
Lessons are $45 for 30-45 minutes

Red Fern Farm's trainer Kim Klein has 10 years of professional experience riding and teaching, and has trained with top riders including Bernie Traurig, Archie Cox, Joan McLaren, Mark Mead, John McConnell, and Andrea Throckmorton both in the U.S. and Europe. She has a broad background working with young horses, problem horses, and show horses, and specializes in training horses and riders to be relaxed, confident, and safe no matter what their job is.

Lessons are offered on-site on a variety of horses ranging from very safe horses that are easy for beginners to performance horses suitable for advanced riders in both English and Western disciplines. Kim is also available to travel to your facility in Northern Colorado for lessons on your own horse(s). Full or part-time training is also available for your own horse for either trailer-in or boarded horses. Regular rates are $50/1hour private lesson or $45/1hour group lesson.

Kim also offers a children's program suitable for kids of all ages; each lesson incorporates different games and challenges to promote learning and riding skills in a fun and exciting environment! All lessons include instruction on horse care (grooming, saddling, basic care) and riding time. Kim specializes in hunters and jumpers, but will teach basic riding in any discipline and provides equipment for both English and Western riders.
