Yasmin Emery-Brownlie, owner and trainer, is a California native whose involvement
with horses spans nearly 40 years. She attended college and graduate schools on the East Coast while also spending nine years training with Olympic veteran and coach George H. Morris. She has worked at numerous show barns and participated in show jumping competitions throughout the US and Canada. She was the owner and trainer at South Lake equestrian in El Dorado Hills. Following the sale of that facility, the focus shifted from a full time training program to horse sales and limited training to family members and sale clients. TRAINER:
Choosing a trainer/ teacher is the key to your foundational development as an equine lover. Classical form incorporated with basic simple militant routines and systems will aid you through to the best performace you can pull out of you and your mount daily with room for grace.

EXPERIENCE:
21 years of experience as a resistance-free trainer, balanced and correct forward movement is the key to a happy horse. Troma was a ex-vet tech, travelled from MAFB California with basic western/ english roots to the dressage, eventing and jumping world of the SOUTH Kentucky/Tennessee. Residing in California, New York and most of her EQUINE EXPERIENCE has been in the heart of the south. She has traveled to 13 countries and 40 states. Recently returned to the GOLD COUNTRY Placerville, California.

Foundation before specialization. Relationship based Horsemanship

Instructing horse enthusiasts to become conscientious thoughtful horse owners.
Teaching from the beginning. Safety, how horses think and what are they feeling is SUPER important to me. I want to help my students create a calm responsive partner in their horse in what ever discipline they choose.
Keeping the horses mind and body relaxed is a high priority for me… not to say I won’t add pressure… I will… I just want to present it in a way not to overwhelm and blow up either the horse or student.
Keeping all that in mind this is what I go over in the beginner lessons:
Approaching horses, haltering , leading, grooming, minor vet care, health, nutrition, saddling, bridling, rein handling,
Leg cues, balance and equitation. I have access to arena and trails.
Students are started with a series of undetermined lessons on the ground first and foremost. As a student progresses in their understanding and response time they are moved into mounted education.

I also offer problem solving, trailer loading and obstacle clinics.
I have horses, if you don’t have your own. 150 lbs max weight of person to ride.
