We do things differently at GKM Equestrian, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. Our students are competent and knowledgeable about horse care and safety which allows their learning and riding to blossom with confidence. We are a small, dedicated professional equine facility, so we go for quality not quantity and don't crank out a lot of lessons each day. This ensures the horses' good health and a slow pace that riders can actually enjoy their lessons and get to know and love our equine athletes.

I can Team rope, heading or Healing, but I Absolutely love teaching Timed events like Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Arena, & Stake race. I can also teach breakaway roping, goat tying, and queen contest. I Love what i do and im not in it to make money, im in it to teach safety and proper ridding.

The Chambers County Saddle Club will be hosting a barrel racing and horsemanship clinic at the Lafayette Arena. We will open registrartion at 8:30 AM cst & start at 9:00 Am cst. The cost ot the clinic will be $25 per perticipant and is open to anyone with a horse regardless of ridding level, age, or horse's experience. I provide one on one basic horseback lessons for beginners and children. I don't have fancy facilities and won't charge you like I do. I begin with safety on the ground and grooming and proceed to riding. I have one horse that is beginner safe. Helmet is not provided or required but allowed. I teach in a WESTERN saddle.
