I firmly believe that any issues encountered are not the fault of the horse. In my training, facilitation, and coaching, the horse's well-being is always the priority. My approach is not discipline-specific; instead, I focus on foundational skills that prepare you for any path you choose to pursue. We do things differently at GKM Equestrian, you don't just come get on a horse. You'll learn how to properly groom your horse with all the necessary steps to keep them and you looking your best. Next you will learn how to correctly and safely tack up your horse or pony. Our students are competent and knowledgeable about horse care and safety which allows their learning and riding to blossom with confidence. We are a small, dedicated professional equine facility, so we go for quality not quantity and don't crank out a lot of lessons each day. This ensures the horses' good health and a slow pace that riders can actually enjoy their lessons and get to know and love our equine athletes.
We are conveniently located to Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Inverness, Chelsea, Vestavia, Hoover, Homewood, Irondale, Trussville, Leeds and Moody. We are a 20 minute drive from downtown Birmingham. You dont have to drive 280 to get to GKM Equestrian and there is very little traffic on the quick drive out.
