Facility has 10 stalls with ceiling fans in all matted stalls, some stalls have dutch doors, wash rack, 150x250 arena, 60 foot round pen,4 horse walker (by summer will be up), pond, creek, and 15 acre exercise field. We are a full boarding facility. Our approach is based on US Pony Club principals of "Balanced Seat" riding and care of horses, blended with "Natural Horsemanship" concepts. Rolling Acres Farm is a family owned stable located in Piedmont, South Carolina. We are conveniently located within 10 minutes of Greenville, Simpsonville, and Mauldin. We offer two barns with 12x12 stalls, 2 tack rooms, trails, riding arena with lighting, shaded round pen, jump course, wash rack, hors​e safe fencing, and a beautiful, friendly environment for you and your horse. Our facility is surrounded by 32 acres of green rolling hills, pastures with wood fencing, a pond, trails, and an additional 65 acres around the corner which provides a variety of options for riding. We have a NEW barn that was completed in May 2013! The new barn features: 12x12 stalls with windows, drop-down stall fronts fans and INSULATED ceiling for climate control inside the barn, blanket racks, stall mats and horse-friendly feeders. The tackroom locks and has a boarders' bathroom WITH SHOWER. The barn also has a hot and cold wash rack. This barn has an attached apartment where the owner/manager will be living. This barn/apartment combo features a smoke alarm system in the barn that alerts the apartment and visa-versa. Nightly checks will be preformed in the barn and our horses are supervised nearly 24/7.

We specialize in taking individualized care of each horse and meeting the specific needs and wishes of each owner. We offer access to a 230'x115' stone dust riding arena with jumps (similar to those found at Harmon Field and FENCE), twice a day feeding with Seminole grains, plenty of fescue hay (or Timothy upon request and for an additional charge), premium low-dust BAGGED pine shavings, daily turnout and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Our barn enjoys attending horse shows, hunter paces and trail rides along with having a good time on our quiet farm.

Our pastures are never over-crowded and private turnout is available for an additional charge. We have been in business for 5 years and the owner/manager has 20 years of horse experience including caring for the horses of an Olympic silver medalist and also holds a Horse Production minor from Clemson University. We have a hunt seat instructor on-site that can offer lessons and/or horse or pony training and we also offer stall-rest and rehabilitation work for injured horses. Emerald Leaf is an upscale boarding, training and lesson facility located right out of Greenville, SC. We specialize in Hunter/Jumper and Equitation.
Our upper level trainer, Crystal Bohnen, has years of experience and will help meet you and your horses training goals, whether it be to get in the show ring, advance a level or just to learn more about the sport.
Our beautiful facility offers numerous pastures, in which individual or group turn-out is available. We have wonderful grass forage available year round due to excellent pasture maintenance. We also offer large stalls all with Dutch Doors, run-out/medical pastures available, coded lock tack room, two spacious wash stalls, 100x200 outdoor ring with all-weather footing and a lower barn for school horses. We do not offer pasture boarding at this time.
What is most outstanding about Emerald Leaf is the quality of care your horse will receive and the meticulous condition the barn is kept. Every horse has an individualized program to best meet their needs. We have access to several high quality vets, farriers, acupuncturists and chiropractors to help your horse feel their best.
We also have a wonderful lesson program with fantastic school horses for any level rider. Emerald Leaf also has an award winning IEA Team which accepts riders grades 6-12. Since 1988 we’ve been doing everything in our power to bring the best service and people here at Southern Star Stables, we offer Partial Care or Full Care services.
We live on the property so we can watch over the horses here and make sure all is alright.
Things are constantly changing here from upgrades to stalls to upgrades of pastures. We have obstacles for those who ride NATRC or just want to play with their horse. Also, we have added lights on our trails outback for nighttime riding.
