Located on 16 acres in Clear Lake is boarding/lesson/training barn Salt Grass Stables & Twisted J Ranch. We offer stall, pasture, and full care pasture board (your horse gets ridden every week), we have an indoor and an outdoor, tack room, and trailer parking available (included in the price of board), and we worm the horses for you (included in the price of board). Birch Lane Stables, LLC (BLS) is family owned and operated; located in Belle Plaine, MN. BLS takes pride in serving customers with quality care at an affordable price. If you choose to board your horse at BLS you will never have to worry about the kind of care your horse is receiving.

Currently BLS consists of 40 indoor box stalls that are cleaned daily. Currently BLS has a 60' x 170' indoor arena. BLS also has a 120' x 240' outdoor area. All arenas have high quality sand with a clay base. Additionally, BLS offers 3 separate tack rooms, 2 of which are for boarders only. BLS also offers a large wash rack with hot and cold water, a lounge area, private changing room and restroom.

We have a small facility conveniently located halfway between Northfield and Faribault right on Highway 3.

Currently we have both stall and pasture board openings. All options include hay, a grain ration and daily turnout, weather permitting. There are no extra fees to use our outdoor 60' round pen or outdoor 120' x 75' arena or equipment. We have access to 6 miles of public horse trails and horse-friendly gravel roads, plus the benefit of pasturing near the traffic of Highway 3 to promote traffic safe horses.
