DH’s Rosewood Farm, LLC is looking for new boarders. We are located at 8304 East ML Avenue, Kalamazoo. Easy access from Portage, Kalamazoo, Galesburg and the surrounding area. Our facility has a barn with 27 stalls, a 60x120 indoor arena, outdoor arena, a round pen, 10 grazing pastures, and several riding trails. Our basic services as of Summer 2015 is $350 a month which includes a spacious stall that is cleaned 6 days a week, put out and brought in daily except Sundays (unless there in inclement weather then we keep them in), feed quality grain twice a day, home grown hay and fresh water throughout the day. We are a very small farm with the capacity of only four retirees so each one is truly a part of the family. Riding is not permitted on the property, but visiting and spending time with your horse is strongly encouraged. Here is what we offer.

Horses live in a lovely, rolling meadow with many trees for shade and a sturdy run-in shed to keep the weather out. A big plus is that there is no mud in the pasture because it is on higher ground than the surrounding land. Unfortunately, we do not have stalls at this time. They are fed good quality grass alfalfa mix hay from a local farm twice a day in the pasture. They are taken separately into the barn, groomed, and fed their grain twice a day with supplements added (if desired by owner). Blankets, if worn, are pulled off and checked at these times. Each horse receives specialized attention and care, complete with plenty of love and carrots.

At Constantine Farms we embrace riders from all backgrounds and disciplines including (but not limited to) dressage, jumping, western, eventing, cross country, gymkhana and vaulting. Our laid back and fun-loving atmosphere is an excellent respite from the daily grind, and we have boarders and riders of all ages.

Horses are brought in to be fed twice a day as owners see fit from a variety of available high-quality feeds (complete with supplements as provided by the owner) and ample quantities of quality hay are offered. The front horse pastures are large and rolling and are mowed and maintained, adjacent to a large summer pasture that we rotate. Horses are brought into their stalls in inclement weather conditions and are visually checked out each time they're brought in. Additionally, we have a separate field for smaller pastured ponies complete with run-in shelters.

Because of the wonderful indoor riding facilities, complete with enclosed observation room, boarders and leasers can enjoy riding their horses year round. Our well lit and maintained indoor, complete with overhead sprinklers for dust reduction, is large enough for large-ring dressage tests to be ridden, and a number of jump standards and poles are stored in close proximity for indoor jumping. There is also an outdoor riding arena for nicer weather and more jumping, nearly 50 acres of wooded trails adjacent to additional land for hacking, and new in 2011 a beginner-novice cross country course (including a few pre-beginner-novice jumps for green jumpers) is available for schooling and for an occasional schooling show.

We run a handful of schooling shows each year, and have instructors available who teach and train in dressage, jumping, eventing, gymkhana and western disciplines. We are a small horse boarding stable with personal attention to every horse and even work with babies. Your horse can have a safe rubber matted stall at night and during threatening weather. Indoor board is $375.00 per month. In the summer there are six different pastures for daily turnout. Horses are turned out, mares with mare and geldings with geldings.. They have hay, grass and water available to them. We do your supplements at their night time feeding. We have our horses on a rotational worming schedule. We have a moderate sized indoor arena for riding in inclement weather and a large out door arena for the summer time riding. We tack up horses in their individual stalls and have areas for your tack to be on site. We have a warm/cold wash area for washing your horses or taking care of any injuries.
