We are a small barn that incorporates the Paddock Paradise method for horse boarding. If you aren't familiar with this method, please take a peek at our website for all the details. A quick overview: we want to provide horses with three fundamental items - Friends - Forage - Freedom. We have a "track" for the horses that is over a mile long. Having a narrower long path encourages the horses to move much more during the day. They have access to a covered 100 x 200 arena for shade and rolling, plus other shade structures, hay stations, and obstacles. We have 3 large pastures that we can use for a variety of reasons. We do 24/7 turnout because this is what is best for the majority of horses. but we do have 2 large 16x12 stalls that can be used by any horses if needed for medical reasons, or any other short term needs.

We provide bermuda hay 24/7 in slow feed hay nets as we want most of their calories to come from hay as opposed to green grasses. Included is a once a day feeding of timothy pellets (as base) with Vermont Blend Trace Minerals and salt. We are happy to feed other food and supplements if provided by the owner. We have a mixed herd of geldings and mares and take the appropriate time to introduce all the new members of the herd. We don't allow horses to have rear shoes so we can minimize any risk of injuries. We discourage front shoes only because of our use of slow feed hay nets.

Hot/cold wash stall. Small tack room with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and clean bathroom. Trailer parking available.

Barn is a very quiet friendly environment. We do not live on the property but have a neighbor that watches for anything unusual when we are not there and we have webcams that give me 24/7 access to view the property.

We charge $575 for one horses or $525/horse in families with multiple horses. We do allow, and love, people to help out around the barn to earn discounts off of the monthly board rate.... See More

Have your horse live in Harmony At a Full Service Boarding and Horse Training facility on sixty acres, Our pastures are cross fenced into three seperate pastures. All boarders have access to our lighted training corral and riding trails, and clubhouse. Our pastures are over seeded with winter rye. We offer clean drinking water and meals are always fed in the stall, so each horse is guaranteed to eat the food ment for them.

All disciplines are welcomed, new footing in arena with automatic lights that turn on at dusk and off at dawn, beautiful green pastures that are seeded seasonally, daily turnout, individual feeding schedules based on horse, 2 outdoor wash racks, indoor crosstie, tack area, stalls cleaned daily, sheets and blankets during winter, daily turnout, night time turnout during hot summer days, owner lives on property, and only a few miles from Dawsonville Forest with miles of beautiful trails. Oak Hill Farm offers many pasture board and retirement board options to suit your needs. We have huge, well maintained pastures with multiple run in sheds per pasture and four board wood fencing. Onsite, we have a lighted riding arena groomed frequently, 17 acres of trails, hot/cold wash racks, a tack barn for storage, and a bathroom. We feed premium feed, soaked if needed, and all the horses get twice daily hands on inspections. Water troughs are checked twice daily, scrubbed as needed, and fresh water is given daily. We can also offer many upgrades in care for retired horses or owners who can't make it out regularly, such as daily hoof picking, bathing and grooming as needed, and more.
