We are a small boarding farm and stalls are provided for each horse. Turnout after feeding into around 20 acres. Grain of your choice provided. Coastal hay round bales are accessible 24/7 in winter and as needed in summer. Farrier is scheduled every seven weeks or you may schedule your own. Vet and farrier expenses are owners’ responsibility. We schedule spring and fall shots with our vet. Owners live on premises. Trails from barn available. Outside trailer storage available. The Big Red Barn offers a beautiful facility located on 80 acres with large, grassy pastures. Riding options include a 150 x 250 arena, oversized and covered round pen and 40+ acres of trails throughout the property. The barn is airy and welcoming with 9 matted stalls each with high powered fans, two hot & cold wash racks, boarder tack room, lounge, and a large bathroom that also has a washer and dryer. Each pasture has a large 20 x 20 run-in shelter. We feed Triple Crown feeds, and coastal and alfalfa mix hays. We are a small, quiet, friendly, family owned farm in the country. We are in Iva, SC. Near the Anderson county/Abbeville county line.
We mainly offer self care pasture board. However, we are very happy to work with you and the needs of your horse to accommodate most situations.
At this time, we can only accept mares and geldings. Also, we only have a very limited amount of openings, as we do not crowd the horses here. We firmly believe that a horse that has room to graze naturally is happier and healthier than a horse crammed into a lot with too many other horses. So, openings here are limited, and don't come up too very often.
Our fees for self care pasture board start at $185 per month.
This includes use of our 100'x180' arena and round pen. And our 10 acres of carefully maintained trails.
If you need other services, we are happy to work out a boarding plan to fit your horse.

Flying M Farms is a private boarding farm. We used to stand two stallions that we bred and we foaled out many show foals. We showed our stock while the kids were young. Kid's are grown and have moved on so I'm putting this nice place to work again. Offering pasture board at $250.00 per horse.
In Winter we have a feeding fee of $30 per month. As all horses are fed by us so we know all have eaten and checked over. In winter all boarders split rounds and grain cost which are extra. The feed bill will be tallied up at the end of the month and we only charge what the horses have eaten. This allows us to keep cost down for all of us. If we get coupons we share that with all. We put out hay as needed while grain is everyday. When the grass comes in enough and we stop feeding grain then the 30 dollar fee goes away. We also offer two separate medical, retirement or stallion lots with their own shelters. Those we will discuss what the care that is needed and come up with a price for you. We are open to all disciplines,jumps,barrels etc.

Privately owned and watched plus it’s very quiet here. We have several Senior horses here with special diets that we can accommodate. We can come up with a plan to help you out as well.
