Elhanan Equestrian is an English Riding Stable specializing in Eventing, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and Pony Club disciplines. Starting youngsters, brushing up the trained horse, or bringing a horse to the next level, Jenny maintains the classical dressage methodology in all aspects of horse training and care. Youngsters are brought along slowly, with an emphasis on clear communication and mutual trust. Horses receive a well-rounded education through cross training and relaxing hacks out of the arena setting. This keeps the horses fresh and happy in their work. Each horse receives a program tailored to fit the individual needs of the equine athlete.

We believe competitions provide a goal to work toward. Whether your focus is on riding in your first show, aspiring to compete at a rated show, or to some day ride at the Advanced levels of Eventing or Dressage, we know equine competition is one of the rare and unique sports that is not just about winning, but about the process. Showing is a vehicle for building self-esteem and learning valuable life lessons for young and old. No matter what your preferred style of riding, there is a horse show for you and a great time to be had!

Jenny Fair is an ICP level I certified instructor through the United States Eventing Association and has been training, teaching and coaching professionally for over 15 years. Jenny Fair is the head trainer at Elhanan Equestrian, and previously Jenny taught at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center, preparing students for a career in the horse industry in jumping, dressage and western disciplines. With an emphasis on correct classical training of horse and rider, Jenny is very passionate about developing a strong bond between horse and rider and is happy to work riders of all levels and disciplines.

We are a small, quiet, friendly, family owned farm in the country. We are in Iva, SC. Near the Anderson county/Abbeville county line.
We mainly offer self care pasture board. However, we are very happy to work with you and the needs of your horse to accommodate most situations.
At this time, we can only accept mares and geldings. Also, we only have a very limited amount of openings, as we do not crowd the horses here. We firmly believe that a horse that has room to graze naturally is happier and healthier than a horse crammed into a lot with too many other horses. So, openings here are limited, and don't come up too very often.
Our fees for self care pasture board start at $185 per month.
This includes use of our 100'x180' arena and round pen. And our 10 acres of carefully maintained trails.
If you need other services, we are happy to work out a boarding plan to fit your horse.

We are a small boarding farm and stalls are provided for each horse. Turnout after feeding into around 20 acres. Grain of your choice provided. Coastal hay round bales are accessible 24/7 in winter and as needed in summer. Farrier is scheduled every seven weeks or you may schedule your own. Vet and farrier expenses are owners’ responsibility. We schedule spring and fall shots with our vet. Owners live on premises. Trails from barn available. Outside trailer storage available.
