We are a hunter/jumper training barn located in Fountain Inn, SC and dedicated to helping horses and riders grow to reach their full potential as competitive show jumpers. We communicate with each owner or rider to set individual goals and personalized training programs to achieve them. Showjumping is a sport and we encourage our riders to treat it as such in order to better themselves as athletes and as partners for their horses. Barn workouts are offered as part of training here and we encourage all riders to attend. We have the highest standards for the care and management of our equine athletes. Diets, training, care, and living standards are carefully managed to keep horses healthy, happy, and in shape by using scientific knowledge, veterinary advice, and attention to cleanliness. We strive to make our barn a positive team building environment that exhibits professionalism and attention to detail. Since 1988 we’ve been doing everything in our power to bring the best service and people here at Southern Star Stables, we offer Partial Care or Full Care services.
We live on the property so we can watch over the horses here and make sure all is alright.
Things are constantly changing here from upgrades to stalls to upgrades of pastures. We have obstacles for those who ride NATRC or just want to play with their horse. Also, we have added lights on our trails outback for nighttime riding.

Shared barn - looking for someone with 2 horses! $350 per month, 1 year contract required.

This is a really peaceful, family based atmosphere. Here you will find a well loved little red barn, behind a beautiful white country home where a loving older couple lives on site. The barn has stalls, an attached run in for shelter/shade, a tack room, and lots of storage for hay. You will find chickens, neighboring cows, and likely a happy Golden Retriever will great you often. Most days however you will find it is a very quiet place, when you can come and enjoy just being with your horse in solitude.

While the couple that lives on the farm has eyes on the horses daily, this is a self care facility, they do not tend to the horses. There are only 4 horses allowed on site, and so I am looking to share the stable with another 2 horses. The horses would live out in one large pasture with 2 well behaved others, and have access to water and shade - and lots of grass. The stalls are to use at your leisure, and responsibilities of watering and cleaning up after the horses is shared between boarders. We are a barn of trail riders, and often trailer out to Croft state park (30 min), and join many of the Western Carolina Hunter Pace rides also.

The pasture is 10 acres or more and will never be overgrazed. We do not grain the horses except for sometimes during the winter months. Hay is purchased and shared between the boarders during the winter. We have a large grass riding pen, with some jumps to enjoy. There are also trails on site behind the pasture that go to the creek. Also 3 large rafter fans, & overhead fans for stalls, sky lights, inside hot/cold matted wash rack and has rain gutters and downspouts to channel rain water away from the barn which is built on a raised pad.
