If you are looking for an affordable home for your equine companion with personable care you've come to the right site. Our pastures are thick lush bermuda mixed fescue, cross-fenced for gender specific turnout & pasture rotation. All 5 pastures are well manicured and fertilized twice per year, and drag-harrowed about 1x per month. All pastures have an abundance of shade trees. All fencing is electric (No barbed wire)

Elhanan Equestrian is an English Riding Stable specializing in Eventing, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, and Pony Club disciplines. Teaching balanced horsemanship and centered riding theory to all ages and abilities, we seek to develop the healthy body, mind, and spirit of horse and rider, to instill the confidence and ability to achieve their goals, and to bring people together to celebrate and enjoy horses. Horses receive a well-rounded education through cross training and relaxing hacks out of the arena setting. This keeps the horses fresh and happy in their work. Each horse receives a program tailored to fit the individual needs of the equine athlete.

We believe competitions provide a goal to work toward. Whether your focus is on riding in your first show, aspiring to compete at a rated show, or to some day ride at the Advanced levels of Eventing or Dressage, we know equine competition is one of the rare and unique sports that is not just about winning, but about the process. Jenny Fair is an ICP level I certified instructor through the United States Eventing Association and has been training, teaching and coaching professionally for over 15 years. Jenny Fair is the head trainer at Elhanan Equestrian, and previously Jenny taught at Meredith Manor International Equestrian Center, preparing students for a career in the horse industry in jumping, dressage and western disciplines. With an emphasis on correct classical training of horse and rider, Jenny is very passionate about developing a strong bond between horse and rider and is happy to work riders of all levels and disciplines.

Shared barn - looking for someone with 2 horses! $350 per month, 1 year contract required.

This is a really peaceful, family based atmosphere. Here you will find a well loved little red barn, behind a beautiful white country home where a loving older couple lives on site. The barn has stalls, an attached run in for shelter/shade, a tack room, and lots of storage for hay. You will find chickens, neighboring cows, and likely a happy Golden Retriever will great you often. Most days however you will find it is a very quiet place, when you can come and enjoy just being with your horse in solitude.

While the couple that lives on the farm has eyes on the horses daily, this is a self care facility, they do not tend to the horses. There are only 4 horses allowed on site, and so I am looking to share the stable with another 2 horses. The horses would live out in one large pasture with 2 well behaved others, and have access to water and shade - and lots of grass. The stalls are to use at your leisure, and responsibilities of watering and cleaning up after the horses is shared between boarders. We are a barn of trail riders, and often trailer out to Croft state park (30 min), and join many of the Western Carolina Hunter Pace rides also.

The pasture is 10 acres or more and will never be overgrazed. We do not grain the horses except for sometimes during the winter months. Hay is purchased and shared between the boarders during the winter. We have a large grass riding pen, with some jumps to enjoy. There are also trails on site behind the pasture that go to the creek. We are a small farm with several full board options. Our barn stalls feature 12 x 12 matted stalls, fans, and daily turnout. We have several stalls with attached paddocks for individual and private use. All horses are fed twice daily and have access to hay 24/7. Horses can be turned out at least 8-10 hours a day or more if requested. Because we are a small barn we can tailor your horses needs according to your specifications. Farrier is scheduled every seven weeks or you may schedule your own. Vet and farrier expenses are owners’ responsibility. Owners live on premise therefore hours are limited to 8a-8p.
