We are a full boarding facility. Our approach is based on US Pony Club principals of "Balanced Seat" riding and care of horses, blended with "Natural Horsemanship" concepts. Emerald Leaf is an upscale boarding, training and lesson facility located right out of Greenville, SC. We specialize in Hunter/Jumper and Equitation.
Our upper level trainer, Crystal Bohnen, has years of experience and will help meet you and your horses training goals, whether it be to get in the show ring, advance a level or just to learn more about the sport.
Our beautiful facility offers numerous pastures, in which individual or group turn-out is available. We have wonderful grass forage available year round due to excellent pasture maintenance. We also offer large stalls all with Dutch Doors, run-out/medical pastures available, coded lock tack room, two spacious wash stalls, 100x200 outdoor ring with all-weather footing and a lower barn for school horses. We do not offer pasture boarding at this time.
What is most outstanding about Emerald Leaf is the quality of care your horse will receive and the meticulous condition the barn is kept. Every horse has an individualized program to best meet their needs. We have access to several high quality vets, farriers, acupuncturists and chiropractors to help your horse feel their best.
We also have a wonderful lesson program with fantastic school horses for any level rider. Emerald Leaf also has an award winning IEA Team which accepts riders grades 6-12. We are a small boarding farm and stalls are provided for each horse. Turnout after feeding into around 20 acres. Grain of your choice provided. Coastal hay round bales are accessible 24/7 in winter and as needed in summer. Farrier is scheduled every seven weeks or you may schedule your own. Vet and farrier expenses are owners’ responsibility. We schedule spring and fall shots with our vet. Owners live on premises. Trails from barn available. Outside trailer storage available. We don’t provide lessons here or have barn drama. We’re close to Lynches Woods in Newberry SC which has good trails. $400 per month
