Trinity's Ridge: Equine Learning Center is a unique horse boarding facility in the heart of Lynchburg (minutes from the Boonsboro shopping center) that provides the comforts of a commercial operation with the peace of mind of a local, private, personal farm. An outdoor arena, trails out the back door, and hilly pastures allow plenty of riding variety. On site instructors are happy to provide lesson, if desired. Horse care can be personalized to your own specifications! Boarding features large stalls, semi-private runs (if desired), small group turnout, daily health checks, twice daily feeding, hay and shavings provided.

Two options to choose from:

$375 full care to your exact specifications (owner provides feed)
$300 full care to your exact specifications (owner provides feed), owner agrees to work 2 shifts (approximately 1.5 hours each) or owner agree to allow horse to be used in lesson program (no more than 2-3 times per week).

Snapps Creek Stables is the perfect alternative to the large, intense, expensive and restrictive environments of the high-end stables. We have no walls of ribbons or trophies, no horses of prestigious bloodlines, and no haughty attitudes. Consequently, you do not invariably help subsidize such activities. We don't have dress codes (except ideally helmets and heals). We don't break horses, breed, sell, host shows, offer touristy riding by the hour or accept stallions. We do have comfortable facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and a commitment to quality care of your loved one in a nurturing, informal environment. Our specialty is the care of your horse. Retirement and special needs horses are most welcome.

Although we are not competitive, does not mean that you can't be. We have all the facilities needed to fulfill your training needs with a large arena, round pen, jumps, barrels and even a storage area for your trailer.

We are a small family owned and operated boarding facility located near Candlers Mtn within minutes of Liberty University. We offer self care boarding on 32 acres starting at $225/month. Partial care is available on a case by case basis. We also offer a multi-horse discount. We have 15 stalls, two locked tack rooms, feed room, brand new outdoor riding arena, round pen, dry lot, hot/cold water in our wash rack, and 4 pastures of varying sizes. We have jumps, barrels, poles, etc for all training needs. We also have access to hundreds of miles of trails. We limit horses to no more than 15 at one time to avoid overgrazing pastures and allow every horse their own stall. We separate our mares and geldings to avoid conflict and dangerous behavior. We introduce new horses gradually to avoid unnecessary injuries that can be caused by immediate herd integration. We offer a family atmosphere and trail ride together as often as possible. River Ridge Farm is a beautiful private equestrian facility tucked into the rolling hills of Central Virginia and only five miles off the historic James River.

At River Ridge Farm we pride ourselves on providing the absolute first class horse care and management. Our spacious 12x12 wood finished stalls complete with wall to wall matting are designed with your horse in mind.

You'll also find a full indoor wash stall (H/C) complete with a Sprayer broom, several cross tie hook ups (Indoor/Outdoor), full tack room/lounge, and a bathroom INSIDE the barn!

We have a large 200x80 arena as well as open turf fields for hacking!

Our farm has several lush pastures that are equipped with automatic water systems. We turn out in small groups to ensure there is plenty of forage for everyone!

Our private boarding includes:
