Misty Brook Farm offers quality boarding and Dressage training for horse and rider, as well as beginner lessons for horse enthusiasts. Several camps or clinics are offered throughout the year, for children and for adults. Horses are housed in one of two barns, have daily turn out in small groups (weather permitting) and can be exercised in the 95x300 outdoor arena (lights come on automatically at dusk). For the rider's comfort there is a lounge (climate controlled) a bathroom and a viewing deck. Wash stall with hot and cold water, fly misting system to minimize the fly population, and tack room are other conveniences MBF offers. Westwood Stables is a 65 acre horse farm located off Rt 1 in the Fredericksburg/Massaponax area.

Facilities Include: Lighted Indoor Riding Arena, Large Outdoor Riding Arena, footed 55ft round pen, and plenty of space to hack out with trails. Tack rooms are air conditioned and heated. Both barns have wash stalls (hot water!). Bathroom located in main barn.

Westwood is a 16 stall facility and offers multiple field board spots as well as private field board. Trainer on site with background of hunters/ western pleasure/working equitation/dressage. Actively competing and showing monthly at schooling and rated shows with students.

We are a boarding, training, and lesson facility located just 15 minutes south of Charlottesville, VA (very short drive to UVA). We love all types of horses, whether they be young or old, retired or just starting, or somewhere in between. We are a laid back family oriented barn, that prides itself on the drama free atmosphere and horse focused care.

Our horses in training go to horse shows and trailering is available to boarders who desire to go to the same shows or even different ones. We specialize in training, starting and restarting horses (particularly Thoroughbreds) so that they understand the job they have and learn to love what they do. We truly get to know each horse and understand what makes each individual animal unique. All horses are respected and appreciated here and given exceptional care.

The farm is a quiet and peaceful family farm with a 7 stall center aisle barn with tack room, wash rack, and bathroom, a two stall secondary barn, a 200 x 115 ft sand riding ring with hunter/jumper jumps and beautiful trails that take one around the property. Stall board includes premium feed 2x a day, high quality hay, turn out, and blanketing as needed.

Stall board starts at $500 a month, and training and rehabilitation pricing is tailored to the individual horse. Thorpland Plantation is a private equine facility located in Yorktown, Virginia. At this time we are strictly a lesson and horse rehabilitation facility.

Here at Thorpland Stables we focus on beginner students and specialize in horsemanship, which is more than just riding. Horsemanship means learning skills and knowledge, and especially the attitude, feeling and responsibility for horses that makes a true horseman or horsewoman. In addition we focus on balanced seat, basic english and saddleseat equitation, but we welcome all disciplines and levels of experience.
