AOPF Stables is a fabulous 82 acres full service boarding and training facility. The farm has facilities for everything from starting colts to developing advanced high level horses: round pen, indoor and 2 outdoor arenas for flat work and jumping, a cross country course including a water complex and even 12 acres of woods for trail riding, and access to miles of trails in the beautiful Greenspring Valley hunt country.
We grow and bale our own hay, both for round bales in winter and everyday feed square bales.
Our large paddocks turn out, accommodate 4-5 horses and provide ample grass for them to graze on. We place pride in favoring herd turn out, for as many hours as weather and seasons permit.
We offer full care stall board, limited field board and self care situation.

Jenny Mitchell, former director of equestrian program at Garrison Forest School and board member of the Interscholastic Equestrian Federation. Trainer in eventing, jumpers and hunters.

FIELD BOARD: Large fields with small groups segregated by mares and geldings. All fields have run-in sheds and tree lines. Field board horses receive grain twice each day along with hay. Cost is $315/month

FULL BOARD: Horses are on a 12/12 schedule, in at night in fall/winter; out at night in spring/summer. Fans provided for summer months. Twice daily feedings and daily stall mucking with hay given both in stalls and in turnout. Horses are turned out in gender-appropriate groups. Cost is $400/month.

AMENITIES: Two lit outdoor stonedust riding rings as well as a lit indoor arena, all with jumps. Vet and farrier appointments regularly scheduled, or use your own. On site hunter jumper training. Chestnut Valley Farm is a 91 acre horse farm located in beautiful Upperco, MD. The farm is under new ownership and new barn management and is currently available for boarding.
