Surrey Hill Ranch is a small private family-owned stable located in the southwest quadrant of Massillon, Ohio, close to the Route 30 overpass on 17th Street SW (previously known as Carmont Avenue SW). It sits nestled amongst neighboring farms and green pastures. The rising mist from the pond can be seen in the early morning hours against a backdrop of rolling hills and trees. The silence is broken as the birds begin their morning chorus. The ducks move effortlessly gliding across the lake leaving only small ripples in their wake. This country setting is quiet and tranquil and the hooves from the horses can be heard as they are let out to pasture. We are a private horse barn that focuses on individualized care programs for each and every horse. We specialize in post-surgical care, layups and rehabilitation of performance horses.

We have large box stalls with thick rubber matting and deep bedding to support and cushion. Horses are fed high quality hay 4 times daily. Stalls are picked and cleaned 1-2 times daily, 7 days per week.

Layup services available are daily hand walking, individual turn out, blanketing, stretching, massage, bandage changes and daily grooming. Medications and supplements can be administered in conjunction with the recommendations from your veterinarian.

We are a 10 stall private boarding facility located in Jackson Township, Ohio. Our stalls are 10x12 fully matted stalls with a hay rack. We provide a heated facility along with a heated office/tack room combo and indoor wash rack.

Four large pastures are located on the property with hay feeders/shelter for daily turnout(weather permitting).

We provide Purina Strategy Healthy Edge and will feed any supplements that are provided. A quality alfalfa/Timothy mix is fed twice daily in generous quantity.

A brand new 60’x136’ indoor arena will be going in this spring(2021) along with a separate tack room for boarders and a bathroom!

You will never have to compete for arena space as we are a small private facility with 6 boarders max. We pride ourselves on caring for each horse according to owners wishes and want every boarder to feel at home in our facility.

 Training includes full board plus minimum of 6 days a week training.

Exercise program can be added on to full board for $75.  This

*Note - we have moved into our own private facility, so address has changed as of June 2013*. Due to exceptionally high demand, stall availability is extremely limited at our 22 stall facility, but they do occasionally open up especially for first time horse owners which we are very happy to help.
At our stables we can offer, training, breaking and hour long private lessons. We own a 34 acre property, 29 acres of which is wooded, has several streams and many trails. We also do offer trailering to the local metro parks, especially to the Hinckley Bridle trails less than a mile away. During hunt season we also trailer to Foxhunting fixtures (subject to both horse and rider capabilities). Unlike most stables in the area, we do not have hidden charges such as for blanketing, turnout, or holding for the vet and farriers. The owner and trainer lives on property.
