Equestrian Arts Institute is a full-service boarding, training and lesson facility. We specialize in eventing and dressage. We give lessons ages 6+, beginners through advanced riders. We are one of the only eventing facilities in our area that offer staff horses for lessons. We have two eventing teams that compete throughout NC and VA. In 2009 we started a drill team that performed at several different venues.

Our facility boost 30 stalls (10-12x13 Main Barn, 10 standing stalls, and 10 pony stalls), along with 2 hot/cold wash stalls, farriers station and vet station.

Waters Edge Farm is a beautiful, 15+ acre facility conveniently located right off highway 73 between Huntersville and Concord. We have 2 outdoor arenas with all weather footing, an indoor arena, and a full course of show jumps. Each of the 25 stalls is matted for the horses comfort and ease of cleaning. Boarders enjoy their own private tack lockers, grooming stalls, and wash rack with hot/cold water. We are a beautiful, low-key drama free 185 acre full board facility 15 minutes west of Chapel Hill, focused on high-quality pastures. Living on-site allows us to give your horse top quality attention and care!

Gabel Acres provides all inclusive, quality, practical, and individualized care for you and your equine partner. On site proprietor has over 40 years of teaching, training and boarding experience. You will not worry how your horse is doing in your absence! They will be taken care of as if they were owned by the proprietor. Only a few people will oversee the daily care and handling of the horses so consistency of that care will be maintained.

Gabel Acres offers 12’x12’well ventilated, deeply bedded, clean stalls. Each stall has a fan in the summer, two water buckets that get filled daily and dumped if needed. Buckets are disinfected on a weekly basis. Proper feed requirements for each horse will be met. Hay will be plentiful, and regular worming is included. Any provided supplements will be fed properly to your horse only. No hidden fees for extras.

All horses will have safe turn out options. Mares and geldings are kept separated. Gabel Acre is also a breeding farm of warmblood horses so there are horses all ages. They all will be kept and handled in an age appropriate environment.

Gabel Acres has a 115' x 250' outdoor arena that drains very well and has a watering system and lights. We also have a full-sized covered dressage arena with mirrors. The covered arena features high quality footing and mirrors across the short side and a section of mirrors in the center of the long side.

Full time onsite dressage and jumper trainers, other trainers are welcome, and we incorporate clinics with outside trainers on a regular basis as well. Full time dressage/young horse training available with Guardian Dressage.

We are easily accessible: we are 1/4 mile off Hwy 73; less than 3 miles from exit 25 off I-77; and 10 miles from I-85 at Concord.

We are a women's no competion barn. We all enjoy each other's company and like to ride alone and with each other. We have 15 rolling acres and full turnout unless it is an ice storm or an injury when we do have stalls. We have trails out from our farm and are always interested in kind, soft eyed horses and women to join us. My job is to take care of your horse as you would like them taken care of within the limits of what we do. I don't believe that horses enjoy being locked in a stall. Half board options for horses that we can gently include in our lesson and camp program. This is the home of the Women's Intuitive Riding program. We have a round pen, grass ring and all season ring. We are looking for quiet, well behaved horses that we can offer half off board if they are lightly used in our program. Students start bareback and must earn their saddles and then cloth reins on halter, later bitless bridles and only experienced riders use bits. Helmets and boots on all afterschool and Women's Intuitive Riders. On site managers who care for your horse as you would yourself in as natural a setting as possible. We are a no drama barn of middle aged women who are happy to ride together at times and alone at times. Non competitive atmosphere where we can just enjoy our connection to our horses. Miles of private trails and two riding rings as well as pastures to ride through. We also have two paddocks that could be used for ponies or minis in need of dry lot care. Cross Creek Stables is a small private barn consisting of pleasure riders. We have on site trails beginner to advanced. There is a brand new round pen and a larger training area. The barn was built in 2010 w/wash bay, secure tack room, and restroom. Stalls are 10 x 12, constructed of solid oak and are light and airy.
