Snapps Creek Stables is the perfect alternative to the large, intense, expensive and restrictive environments of the high-end stables. We have no walls of ribbons or trophies, no horses of prestigious bloodlines, and no haughty attitudes. Consequently, you do not invariably help subsidize such activities. We don't have dress codes (except ideally helmets and heals). We don't break horses, breed, sell, host shows, offer touristy riding by the hour or accept stallions. We do have comfortable facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and a commitment to quality care of your loved one in a nurturing, informal environment. Our specialty is the care of your horse. Retirement and special needs horses are most welcome.

Although we are not competitive, does not mean that you can't be. We have all the facilities needed to fulfill your training needs with a large arena, round pen, jumps, barrels and even a storage area for your trailer.

We are a small family owned and operated boarding facility located near Candlers Mtn within minutes of Liberty University. We offer self care boarding on 32 acres starting at $225/month. Partial care is available on a case by case basis. We also offer a multi-horse discount. We have 15 stalls, two locked tack rooms, feed room, new outdoor riding arena, round pen, hot/cold water in our wash rack, and 4 pastures of varying sizes. We have jumps, barrels, poles, etc for all training needs. We also have access to hundreds of miles of trails. We limit horses to no more than 15 at one time to avoid overgrazing pastures and allow every horse their own stall. We separate our mares and geldings to avoid conflict and dangerous behavior. We introduce new horses gradually to avoid unnecessary injuries that can be caused by immediate herd integration. We offer a family atmosphere and trail ride together as often as possible.
