We offer retirement board and will have an opening available in spring 2016.We understand that the older or chronically unsound horse has different needs and that it can be stressful finding the perfect retirement home. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe facility and offering the best quality care possible. Board is $300/ month and includes:

-Free-choice hay and grain as needed (particularly hard keepers may be charged for extra grain)
-Weekly grooming
-Regular deworming (with yearly fecal egg counts performed by our veterinarian to ensure the efficacy of our deworming program)
-Regular professional hoof trims
-Blanket and fly mask/sheet changes
-Small turnout group sizes in well-maintained fields, safe fencing, and multiple checks per day
-We always welcome visits and we will send updated photos as often as desired.

Graywood is a riding barn, located near the tri-county corner of Culpeper, Madison, & Orange! 25 beautiful acres with access to miles of riding trails and an 8-stall barn. The riding ring is 200x120 with stone dust & sand footing and equipped with nice jumps. There is also a small round pen for ground work. Graywood is a family friendly farm that is happy to accommodate riders and horse lovers of all ages and experience levels (group and privet lessons). We are able to do theraputic riding classes as well (private lessons only). We believe in creating a safe and fun environment where everyone is encouraged to be the best they can be.

We are a 280 ac farm, adults only, no drama. Located between Orange and Gordonsville, 25 miles from Charlottesville. Low key barn where horses can be horses and their humans can enjoy them. Outdoor 85x150 sand arena w/jumps, 70x135 indoor arena with mirrors, lights w/ sand and Lightfoot footing. Miles of well-groomed wooded trails right on the property. Field board only. We are a small family owned and operated boarding facility located near Candlers Mtn within minutes of Liberty University. We offer self care boarding on 32 acres starting at $225/month. Partial care is available on a case by case basis. We also offer a multi-horse discount. We have 15 stalls, two locked tack rooms, feed room, new outdoor riding arena, round pen, hot/cold water in our wash rack, and 4 pastures of varying sizes. We have jumps, barrels, poles, etc for all training needs. We also have access to hundreds of miles of trails. We limit horses to no more than 15 at one time to avoid overgrazing pastures and allow every horse their own stall. We separate our mares and geldings to avoid conflict and dangerous behavior. We introduce new horses gradually to avoid unnecessary injuries that can be caused by immediate herd integration. We offer a family atmosphere and trail ride together as often as possible. If your horse likes water, we have a small pond you can take them swimming in when it gets hot. We have an instructor on site with a lesson program.

Rocky Top Ranch is a private family owned property open 7 days a week. Having been in the horse business for many years and as an owner of 4 horses I understand that each horse has he/her own unique needs. We offer individual attention for every horse, and will work with you to accommodate your horse’s needs.
We offer full, partial and pasture board on 62 acres located in Central VA in beautiful Appomattox County. Easy access from ST RT 460 and only 20 minutes from Liberty University and Sweet Briar College. We provide private or small group turnout. Multiple horse discount and discount for any referrals that use our facility.
7 stall barn: Each 10’x12’ stalls consist of 2x6 tongue and groove yellow pine boards, sealed for ease of cleaning and sanitizing. Fronts are 3” on center prison boards with sliding doors, all stalls are sawdust bedded and are cleaned morning and evening. Lights and individual fans in each stall with ceiling fans in the main aisle. Hot / cold wash pit, tack room and feed room.
Pasture boarding with large run in sheds, salt blocks and ample water supply. We limit the number of horses we board to prevent overgrazing of fields. We separate mares and geldings to avoid any conflicts.
The Ranch offers over 4 miles of riding trails, round pen and outside arena. Free trailer parking for boarders. Property includes two entrances / exits. 70’ wide entrance with drive thru to exits with no need to back up or turn around. 80’ from state highway to gate for truck and trailer, no parking on roadway for safety of owner and horse.
Provide clinics, first aid and wound care
On site lounge with work out equipment, pool table, full bath, TV, picnic table and outdoor grill.
We also provide transportation for all of you hauling needs with a 38’ Cherokee trailer that can accommodate up to 5 horses with box stalls. References provided from previous horse hauls.
