A quiet, family-friendly 80-acre equine facility 5 miles south of Hagerstown Md; 15 minutes from I-81 or I-70. We are a Maryland Horse Discovery Center - contact us for a tour! On site owners with over 50 years of equine experience. A modern 15 - 12 x 12 stall barn w/ 12' aisle, heated/AC tack room, attached indoor riding arena, large turnout areas, large outside ring, trails throughout property and approximately 1/2 mile off road.
Monthly board of $420 includes assigned stall in bad weather or for medical needs, otherwise turned out in ample pasture 24/7 in small groups of 2-4, separated for feeding, simple tasks such as fly mask, blankets, etc.. grain (sweet feed, Sentinel and/or Sunshine) and grass hay. Special diet & supplements are owners expense but we will administer. We have barn veterinarian and farrier or you can use your own. We provide riding and equine activities for all folks. Young and older, beginner to intermediatel. We are a center providing t CHA and PATHIntl Accredited Therapeutic Riding Center for people with disabilities. We also have a recreational rider program for abled riders. Summer Camp, Girl Scout programs and a great volunteer program. We offer field trips where people learn about horses and agriculture in Maryland using various farm animals. Where every horse is a treasure!

We are a small farm located in Hagerstown Md near Stateline and close to I81 and I70. Quality care at affordable prices. We offer long term boarding and layover boarding as well as electric hookup.

We have 6 matted stalls and each one is attached to a private paddock. Horses are in 1/2 the day in their private area and turned out into pasture or a large paddock the other half pending weather. Our large paddock is now covered so all horses will have shelter when needed. We have several nice fields we rotate them in. We have an outdoor arena, a large round pen and heated tack & feed rooms.

I have 2 horses and love being around them. I've been around horses most of my life.

Full Care Board

Sturdy Stirrups is a quaint and small stable which takes pride in getting to know each horse in our care. We offer individual care plans for each horse and can accommodate special requests such as specific blanketing, administering various medications, etc. Our fencing is new and horse safe, plus the owner lives on-site and has view of each field. Herds are kept small and are rotated between pasture and dry lots. Our pastures are flat and open with access to shade at all times.

Field Board: This is the best choice for those who want their horse to have access to the outside as much as possible, but are also concerned about complete and adequate shelter. The barn has dividers put in place to ensure all horses can use it, even if they are submissive. 275.00/month (includes hay)

Stall Board: Horses are individually lead in and out of 12x12 stalls. We provide a shade lot during hot days, and an open pasture for nights. They are brought in and out for feeding. Owner may request the horse be kept on a specific turn out schedule or in for specific events. Once winter comes, horses are primarily kept in at night, and out during the day. 350.00/month (includes hay)
