Shared barn - looking for someone with 2 horses! $350 per month, 1 year contract required.

This is a really peaceful, family based atmosphere. Here you will find a well loved little red barn, behind a beautiful white country home where a loving older couple lives on site. The barn has stalls, an attached run in for shelter/shade, a tack room, and lots of storage for hay. You will find chickens, neighboring cows, and likely a happy Golden Retriever will great you often. Most days however you will find it is a very quiet place, when you can come and enjoy just being with your horse in solitude.

While the couple that lives on the farm has eyes on the horses daily, this is a self care facility, they do not tend to the horses. There are only 4 horses allowed on site, and so I am looking to share the stable with another 2 horses. The horses would live out in one large pasture with 2 well behaved others, and have access to water and shade - and lots of grass. The stalls are to use at your leisure, and responsibilities of watering and cleaning up after the horses is shared between boarders. We are a barn of trail riders, and often trailer out to Croft state park (30 min), and join many of the Western Carolina Hunter Pace rides also.

The pasture is 10 acres or more and will never be overgrazed. We do not grain the horses except for sometimes during the winter months. Hay is purchased and shared between the boarders during the winter. We have a large grass riding pen, with some jumps to enjoy. There are also trails on site behind the pasture that go to the creek. Our facility is very neat, clean, & organized with well manicured, beautiful pastures. Owners are provided with daily updates about their horses and activities going on at the farm.

Our pastures are thick lush bermuda mixed fescue, cross-fenced for gender specific turnout & pasture rotation. All 5 pastures are well manicured and fertilized twice per year, and drag-harrowed about 1x per month. All pastures have an abundance of shade trees. All fencing is electric (No barbed wire)

Current amenities include: Inside H&C wash stall (infrared heater available for use as needed when present in winter); Barn Fly misting system; Lighted 50' x 100' training/obstacle play pen; Two tack storage areas; Outside matted cold water wash rack with crossties & access to electricity.

100' x 180' lighted all weather footing - riding / jumping / dressage arena. W/jump standards and rails.

BARN built 8/5/00: Features 12' x 12' stalls & 12' center aisle, summer-cooling roof insulation and ridge vents for good heat escape and air flow. Also 3 large rafter fans, & overhead fans for stalls, sky lights, inside hot/cold matted wash rack and has rain gutters and downspouts to channel rain water away from the barn which is built on a raised pad.
The 12X12 Box Stalls feature horse safe "Tenderfoot" stall mats.

Full board includes your horses own padded, well-ventilated stall, daily turnout, fescue roundbale in pasture, grain 2x a day & trailer parking.
