This beautiful farm consists of 22 acres of lush pastures overlooking a 2-acre spring-fed pond, a 36-stall barn, all 16'x16' with automatic waterers and tongue-and-groove sliding doors. The barn contains 4 hot-and-cold wash racks available for saddling and grooming at any time. The spacious hallways, 3 tack rooms, and lighted outdoor and indoor arenas provide ample space for all riders. All of these amenities are available to you and your horse for just $500 per month.

Russell Ridge was a carefully selected farm. William spent several years working at different facilities that did not meet his standards for quality. Some of the farms had inadequate turn out, turnout that lacked grass or forage, or no turnout at all, rings that were too small or had poor footing, and had barns that were poorly lit or lacked space and functionality; all of which he considered to be extremely basic and important factors for a farm. He began searching for a location that had the potential to have all the amenities he was looking for. In 2004, he found it. Named for the ridge that runs along the side of where the ring now sits, Russell Ridge had it all. An enormous open field that could be split multiple times for huge turnout fields, and room on top of the ridge for a big barn and ring with an excellent view of the pastures. Back then there wasn’t any kind of driveway and the top of the ridge was an extremely uneven pine forest, but William had a vision, and he spent the next seven years bringing it to life. Russell Ridge opened its’ doors December 1, 2011, and now features all the amenities William sought to offer; a spacious 12 stall barn complete with tack room, wash rack, and plenty of cross ties, an adjacent 4 stall barn facing the ring, a huge ring with a wide variety of jumps and great footing, 7 large fields for your horse to play in and enjoy plenty of grass, and flat, manicured trails perfect for a walking or hacking trail ride.... GB’s Stable is located in Smyrna on 100 acres with a newly finished state of the art equestrian center that includes 44 stalls (with automatic waterers and mats), two in-door hot/cold wash racks, a lounge, and individual tack rooms. The barn was built for the horses (plenty of natural light, great circulation, and lots of space). The property has over ten paddocks, summer and winter grazing pastures, as well as a riding arena (with jumps) and lunging pen. There are over two miles of riding trails, trailer parking, and a twenty five acre lake. Fencing is chain link, field, electric, or a combination of the three. Horses get to go out daily from 8:30am until evening feeding with night turnout available in the warmer months. The owners live on site and the caretaker and staff have the highest standard of care and professionalism available.

Partial board, which includes stall rental, shavings, and use of the facilities, is available, as is, full board, which includes everything from partial board, as well as daily turn out, stall cleaning, twice daily feeding, and the purchase of your choice of a variety of different feeds and hay. Some like the flexibility of partial/full board in that they choose what services they need and when they need it (i.e. only morning care or full care when they are on vacation, etc…). The package you want is the package that you can have.

There are two veterinary offices and several farriers that take care of the horses and are on call whenever needed. All horses are required to be current on coggins, worming, and shots. GB’s has a great group of people; with very low turnover. The group is about 50/50 English/Western. Some boarders show, but for the most part the boarders are pleasure riders. In the warmer months there are weekly bbqs and periodically weekend camping/trail riding excursions. Cheatham Hill Park and Boundary Waters Park are both a short drive from GB’s and offer miles of riding trails. Trainers are on site, but it is permissible for you to bring your own.
