J&D Acres LLC is a full service Hunter/Jumper boarding/ lessons/ training and showing facility. Located in New
Port Richey, Florida, our facility provides friendly, professional training and care. J & D Acres attends local and A rated horseshows regularly.
J & D Acres trainer is Robin Brooks. Robin has over 12 years of experience training and teaching riders of all levels and ages. Her training techniques and experience enable her students to excel in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings. She strives to help each horse and rider safely and confidently progress to their highest potential.
The property includes a privacy fenced concrete block center isle barn with nineteen 12'x 12' stalls, several stalls have a private run-in paddock, flyspray systems, 30 acres of grass pastures, a lighted ring with clay/sand mixture footing, round pen, full bathroom, office, tack rooms and three wash racks for your convenience. Our aim is to provide a safe, clean, friendly atmosphere for all your equestrian needs. Full board only $500/month. Training Board $750/month

We do natural horse boarding, means barn with paddock( the horse has the choice) plus direct access to the grassy pastures the whole year ( the horse can choose during the day and during the night between the barn and the paddock) The only not natural thing is, the horse barn is A/C cooled ( the horse can choose the Florida Sun or the cool barn) The horse turnouts itself ! In the night, they are in the safe barn with paddock.
We don't cool our saddles, we cool our friends-the horses ! ( and us with free cool drinks for our boarders
Our professional trainer level 2 Trainer of the year 2018 and International and US judge Alex is specialized in Icelandic Horse training.

Hidden Haven Ranch

We are a private and secured facility. You will receive a remote control for entry into the front gate. I do live on the property.

Like most facilities, we have an 8 stall barn. With a 12' center aisle. Your horse would have their own stall.
The tack room has air condition, a refrigerator, and a full bathroom with hot water. There are 3 wash racks 2 are covered with roofs. A piranha system for the pesky bugs. Fans in all the stalls and down the main aisle. 4 additional fans for our 2 cross ties in the front of the main barn. You may also put a tack box in front of your stall. No open muck buckets are used. On the east side of our barn, there are 2 wash stationd 2 are under cover. We muck the entire ranch twice a day. This is one of the many reasons for an almost fly ? free facility.

We love our horses to have room as much space as possible to stretch. So your horse will be rotated in our 3200 sq. Ft. Maga barn. This has 12 stalls under cover with the average stall size 40' x 60'. These all have hot wire and connecting gates. Making it very easy to safely move the ? horse's.

There are 8 individual pastures for your horses grazing. We manage the pastures to keep grass year round. In addition to the 8 pastures in front and rear of the property. We have 2 huge pasture with a ponds. The front has multiple trees for shade. The rear is completely open with mini cows for you to chase if you so desired. You can use either one for additional riding.
All of the pastures and stables have irrigation except for the back pasture where the mini cows are located.

Arenas:
A competition dressage arena with judges stand. We do host 6 SWFDA dressage competitions here annually.
A covered arena with 2 additional arenas on either side.
All of the arenas have commercial LED lights for night riding.
There is a separation gate between the dressage and performance arenas.
We have barrels to chase, poles to bend, timbers, and Cones for an obstacle course.
All of the above arenas have commercial sprinklers we use to keep the footing at its best.
There is a 60' round pin with its own palm tree ? directly in the middle for shade while you are working your horse.

We carry 4 different types of hay depending on the weather and the weight of your horse. Haychix bags are filled with approximately 12 to 15 pounds of hay. These are distributed twice daily. This is a total of 24 to 30 pounds of fresh hay.

Offering a wide variety of grain. Our concept is to keep the nutrients as organic and natural as possible. The water bins are emptied twice daily. The feed room is air conditioned. We prep food every 14 days. Should your horse require supplements ( provided by you ), we can add or change their diet without disruption.

Our parking area is huge. Allowing 12 plus cars. It was built so that you can easily track 53' trailer in and around our barn. Trailer parking is available at an additional cost.

Our facility is pretty much OCD .
We have multiple vets and farrier's that come to the facility.

Sage Dimsey and myself perform all of the care for your horses. We limit it to just 8 boarders. Treating each of them as if they were our own.
