We are a small boarding stable. We provide pasture board that includes a stall in our barn. Horses have their own pasture (horses are rotated according to Barn Manager's discretion). The owner provides all hay, grain, and shavings. Owners are responsible for all feedings, including bringing horses in during bad weather and all other needs.

Gabel Acres provides all inclusive, quality, practical, and individualized care for you and your equine partner. On site proprietor has over 40 years of teaching, training and boarding experience. You will not worry how your horse is doing in your absence! They will be taken care of as if they were owned by the proprietor. Only a few people will oversee the daily care and handling of the horses so consistency of that care will be maintained.

Gabel Acres offers 12’x12’well ventilated, deeply bedded, clean stalls. Each stall has a fan in the summer, two water buckets that get filled daily and dumped if needed. Buckets are disinfected on a weekly basis. Proper feed requirements for each horse will be met. Hay will be plentiful, and regular worming is included. Any provided supplements will be fed properly to your horse only. No hidden fees for extras.

All horses will have safe turn out options. Mares and geldings are kept separated. Gabel Acre is also a breeding farm of warmblood horses so there are horses all ages. They all will be kept and handled in an age appropriate environment.

Gabel Acres has a 115' x 250' outdoor arena that drains very well and has a watering system and lights. We also have a full-sized covered dressage arena with mirrors. The covered arena features high quality footing and mirrors across the short side and a section of mirrors in the center of the long side.

Full time onsite dressage and jumper trainers, other trainers are welcome, and we incorporate clinics with outside trainers on a regular basis as well. Full time dressage/young horse training available with Guardian Dressage.

We are easily accessible: we are 1/4 mile off Hwy 73; less than 3 miles from exit 25 off I-77; and 10 miles from I-85 at Concord.

Cornerstone Horse Farm is a retirement boarding barn specializing in senior horse care. The 30 acre facility has a 4 stall barn that is currently under construction (June 2018), several run in shelters, and a rotational grazing pasture system. Pasture board is available now and stall board will be available once the barn is complete. Both boarding options are full service packages. For pasture board this includes a ProElite grain ration, orchardgrass hay when grazing is limited, a deworming program and regular barefoot hoof trims. Supplements, medications, flymasks and blanketing services are included if provided by owner. Stall board will include all of the pasture board services with access to a stall for feeding, inclement weather, or a 12/12 turnout schedule. Each stall has a dutch door with an individual run to encourage more movement even when confined. ProElite grain rations can be either Senior, Diet Balancer, or Starch Wise depending on the calorie needs of each horse, and hay pellets are available as an add on for horses with dental problems. The farm is a quiet relaxed atmosphere where the horses graze or lounge in the shelters at their choice. Herds are small, typically 3-6 horses, with a maximum of 6 boarders at one time to ensure individualized attention. There are no lessons, showing, training, or breeding operations to distract from the care of the horses or to disturb them in their daily routine.
