At Meadowlark, we embrace riders from all backgrounds and disciplines including dressage, jumping, eventing, western pleasure and gymkhana. Our updated facility offers everything that a rider could want, from regularly raked riding arenas to maintained trails.

Because of the wonderful indoor riding facilities that we provide, boarders can enjoy riding their horses year-round. Our well lit and maintained indoor is large enough for full-size dressage tests to be ridden, and a number of jump standards and poles are stored in close proximity for indoor jumping. There is also an outdoor riding arena for nicer weather and additional jumping, and nearly 50 acres of wooded trails with various cross country jumps. We are also installing new cross country jumps this year in our schooling field for pre-beginner-novice and beginner-novice cross country riders and eventers!

The Fox Den Farm is a full service boarding operation that offers Hunter Jumper training & lessons. Our program is individualized per horse and rider team for the optimum turn-out in the horse show ring(s). Each horse is cared for independently from its very own nutritional program to training program. The doors are open 7 days a week from 9am-9pm and The Fox Den Farm has staff on-site 24/7 for the peace of mind of each and every boarder.

The facility itself offers tranquility nestled in the rolling hills of the country side, and yet with ease of access from US 23 (5 mins) and US 75 (15mins). Come and meet the best barn family ever and allow yourself to relax and enjoy the spacious and clean atmosphere. Stalls are 12 x 12 and the barn is naturally lit with plenty of sunlight and upgraded LED lighting available in stalls, aisle way, and provided in our 165 x 70 indoor riding arena. The outdoor arena overlooks the scenic views of the country side with some of the most amazing Michigan sunsets available. All turn out pastures have grass including the private pens. We offer a round pen for training needs and always maintain the footing of all the riding spaces. Indoor wash stalls available. We are a very small farm with the capacity of only four retirees so each one is truly a part of the family. Riding is not permitted on the property, but visiting and spending time with your horse is strongly encouraged. Here is what we offer.

Horses live in a lovely, rolling meadow with many trees for shade and a sturdy run-in shed to keep the weather out. A big plus is that there is no mud in the pasture because it is on higher ground than the surrounding land. Unfortunately, we do not have stalls at this time. They are fed good quality grass alfalfa mix hay from a local farm twice a day in the pasture. They are taken separately into the barn, groomed, and fed their grain twice a day with supplements added (if desired by owner). Blankets, if worn, are pulled off and checked at these times. Each horse receives specialized attention and care, complete with plenty of love and carrots.

We provide attentive, full-care horse boarding at a friendly, casual riding facility. We are just a short trailer ride away from Indian Springs, Pontiac Lake Recreation Area, Highland and Kensington State parks. Facilities include the following:
