Sweet Home Stables is a private, full care facility offering boarding, training, lessons and sales right outside of Leslie, MI in Bunkerhill. Our country setting provides a beautiful getaway for you and your horse! We are a short drive from Leslie, Rives Junction, Dansville, and Stockbridge, but close enough to Jackson and Lansing for an easy commute! We are a small enough facility to give individualized care to each horse, but big enough to be a fun, interactive barn. No drama is allowed, you will be asked to leave. We have a quality feeding program (Tribute feeds and good, quality hay), but boarders are welcome to bring their own, if desired. New Horizons Farm LLC, home of New Horizons Haflinger Sporthorses on ten beautiful acres in Bath, Michigan, just outside of East Lansing is a private breeding farm which averages nine horses on premises including boarder horses. Stall board and pasture board available. Pasture horses have use of a stall during severe weather. Conveniently located just 3 1/2 miles off of Interstate 69 (Bath exit) on 1/2 mile stretch of paved road. Owner lives on premises and has over twenty years experience breeding, raising, showing horses. Multiple paddocks and pastures of varying sizes to meet your horse's needs, some with three and four board fence and others with coated wire/electric, almost all with large run in three sided sheds. Winter paddocks have extra large/extra tall 24 x 12 three sided steel run in sheds and access to automatic heated waterers. Ten stall horse barn with insulated roof has six 12 x 12 spacious, bright, matted stalls with large windows and four @10 x 12 stalls with windows that easily convert into double stalls for foaling. We are a small private Barn with only 18 stalls. Barn has radiant in floor heat through out kept at 50-55 all winter, makes for easy grooming and spending quality time with your horse. 10X12 stalls are wall to wall matted with heavy ¾ inch rubber mats. Stalls are plywood lined (no edges) for your horses’ safety. Each stall has its own automatic water, Permanently mounted shedding light wired to a central timer if needed. Overhead fan controlled by a thermostat that turns on/off automatically. Heated tack room with security code for each boarder. Security cameras through out entire facility to ensure the utmost in safety. Heated wash rack with large drain and hot and cold water. Laundry with washer, dryer and laundry tub for sheets leg wraps etc. Heated bathroom. Large 72 X 140 indoor arena. Arena has 6 foot of clear panel on each side for lots of natural light. 60 foot round pen. Individual turnouts each with automatic water. Horses do not go out together in the same paddock for safety. Turnouts based on weather and footing but generally 4 to 8 hours per day. Super clean facility. We also offer rehabilitation for injuries with a very controlled environment and elderly horse care.
