We offer indoor horse boarding with your own stall, stall bags provided for your personal items as well as a tack room. Horses are brought in at night and go out every morning. Included in full board is hay, grain, sawdust and stall cleaning. We offer lessons, and Pony Club on some Sundays to ride as a group. We are really good with the special needs of older horses. All our horses are treated like our own and we provide the best care to each of them. We have heated water buckets in every stall and heated water in the field in the winter. The farrier visits every two weeks and the vet lives very close. We provide high quality care for the Southside price.

Rocking Horse Farm is a full care facility with custom capabilities. We offer 10 x 10 well lit, open, and airy stalls with no overhead lofts for lots of light and less dust. Daily turn-out with weather permitting, grass pastures and each horse is hand walked to each turn-out no runs or outs. Stalls cleaned daily. First Generation Stables is a Private boarding facility for your horse(s).- The stable was established in 1994 with over 35+ years of professional horse & boarding experience.

We have 6 stalls in total so this guarantees a very private setting for your enjoyment.

Recent updates: Old fencing was replaced with new three board Kentucky Style fencing in July 2016, and stall fronts were updated in September 2023.

There are a total of 16.5 acres divided into 6 pastures to ensure plenty of grazing.

Stalls are custom built with 2” oak boards that include custom steel Dutch doors for plenty of fresh air, only outdoor rated professional style enclosed barn fans are used in the stalls for safety of the horses, -no box fans-, Stalls are bedded with quality pelleted pine bedding, heated water buckets are provided when needed indoors and out, each stall has outlets and LED lights, a tack box is provided for your personal items, a saddle rack is available for your saddle and pad, and a custom personal rodent free grain bin is provided for your feed as well.

Updated LED lighting is located throughout the interior of the barn as well as outdoors. All feeding, stall cleaning, daily horse care inspection, and maintenance is provided by the on site owners.

First Generation Stables is 1/4 mile off the road on Indy’s Southeast side and not visible to the street and surrounded by farm fields all within Indianapolis, In. with plenty of space to ride!

We are a small private barn with limited stalls available. If you are looking for a small family friendly atmosphere we are the place for you. Our focus is on the best care for our horses. D-n-K Horse Farms LLC prides itself to be an exclusive barn providing unique services such as: on site cattle, heated stable, indoor and outdoor arenas, large pastures, daily turnouts, and heated lounge area. D-n-K is a diverse training barn; english, hunt seat, western pleasure, showmanship, speed events, roping events, and general riding lessons. We have 18 rubber matted stalls (10X12) in our heated barn, as well as a secondary barn with 5 rubber matted stalls (8X14) and another 4 rubber matted stalls (10X10). Our stalls are picked twice daily and water buckets pulled and cleaned once a week. D-n-K realizes that every horse is different so we let you choose what kind of grain to feed as well as the quanity. We offer round and square bales of hay and can cater to every horse's individual supplement needs. During the winter we blanket horses for turn out and summers we take on and off fly masks.
