We are a small 3.5 acre farm hidden in the city of Tucker, GA currently offering boarding for two horses at a rate of $250 per month per horse. This would include hay, up to 3 daily feedings, access to an 80 x 200 ft arena, use of a two horse trailer, and tack space. We have a small pole barn, one main grazing/turnout field, and two smaller fields as well as a back pasture that can be used during the dryer months. Fellow animal companions include 4 goats, 4 ducks, 5 chickens, and two cats all of which are familiar with equines, however we do tend to keep the goats separate from the horses.

The primary persons caring for your horse would be two 17-year-olds who have been around horses for 10 years, fostered two horses for a year and a half, and who currently work with horses at a sanctuary in Snellville.

Yellow River park is 15 minutes away and offers many miles of quiet horse trails. A bit farther away is Conyers Horse Park which has trails that wind through and around their cross country and golf course.

When considering our property for your horse please keep in mind that a majority of our property is considered flood plain, so during the winter we do deal with a lot of mud. Our arena is also bare ground so it may not be a good fit for horses with tender feet.... See More

The Great Escape Equestrian Center is located in Snellville, close to the loganville side. We are a 10 acre facility with 7 pastures that are continually improved by dragging and fertilizing. We are a small barn that incorporates the Paddock Paradise method for horse boarding. If you aren't familiar with this method, please take a peek at our website for all the details. A quick overview: we want to provide horses with three fundamental items - Friends - Forage - Freedom. We have a "track" for the horses that is over a mile long. Having a narrower long path encourages the horses to move much more during the day. They have access to a covered 100 x 200 arena for shade and rolling, plus other shade structures, hay stations, and obstacles. We have 3 large pastures that we can use for a variety of reasons. We do 24/7 turnout because this is what is best for the majority of horses. but we do have 2 large 16x12 stalls that can be used by any horses if needed for medical reasons, or any other short term needs.

We provide bermuda hay 24/7 in slow feed hay nets as we want most of their calories to come from hay as opposed to green grasses. Included is a once a day feeding of timothy pellets (as base) with Vermont Blend Trace Minerals and salt. We are happy to feed other food and supplements if provided by the owner. We have a mixed herd of geldings and mares and take the appropriate time to introduce all the new members of the herd. We don't allow horses to have rear shoes so we can minimize any risk of injuries. We discourage front shoes only because of our use of slow feed hay nets.

Barn is a very quiet friendly environment. We do not live on the property but have a neighbor that watches for anything unusual when we are not there and we have webcams that give me 24/7 access to view the property.
