We provide a safe friendly place for horse and owner! Connell Mack Stables strives to provide the best full-service care for your horse.
All disciplines are welcomed, new footing in arena with automatic lights that turn on at dusk and off at dawn, beautiful green pastures that are seeded seasonally, daily turnout, individual feeding schedules based on horse, 2 outdoor wash racks, indoor crosstie, tack area, stalls cleaned daily, sheets and blankets during winter, daily turnout, night time turnout during hot summer days, owner lives on property, and only a few miles from Dawsonville Forest with miles of beautiful trails. All ammenities are included for full board and pasture board.
At Connell Mack Stables we put our horses health first. With scheduled worming and vaccinations and a great feeding program with high quality grain that is worked around any horses needs. You are insured that your horse is in great care! We also provide some special care requested by owner.
By keeping owners up to date and informed with every decision regarding the well-being of their horse you are assured peace of mind!

Boarding

Hi! We are building a new barn and arena very soon, we will have 6 stalls available when it it fully built. Self care will be $250/month, full board will be $500/month, pasture boarding will be $150/month we will be moving to our new area in the next two month and everything should be built within 3 months we are accept deposits to hold your space which is the first month board, it is fully refundable if you want to pull out of holding your space. Shooting Star Equestrian Center, LLC is a 120 acre boarding facility located in Dawsonville, GA. Our farm is secluded and peaceful. Only 4 miles west of the Hwy 400 & 53 intersection. Dawson Forest trails are 8 miles away.

We live on-site and are family owned/operated with a combination of 40 years of experience boarding horses.

TRL Farm home of diamond dressage offers different boarding options. 12x12 stalls, 15x15 mare and foal stall with its own pasture. 7 Individual pastures, your horse can go out with others or be on individual turnout. We feed three times daily and provide Timothy Orchard and Fescue hay. Full size dressage arena lighted, ample land to ride in the woods or in a pastures. Owner lives on property. Gated entrance, convenient to UGA vet school, Conyers International Horse Park and Highways 316 and 78.

Spring Lake Farms, is located in historic Covington, Georgia east of Atlanta off Interstate 20 and includes 60 ft board round pen, 100 x 200 riding ring, hot and cold wash rack, tack room and bathroom, safe 2 x 4 horse wire fencing, trailer parking and 21 acres of pasture all for the price of $300 monthly for full board. Our stalls are 11 ft X 13 ft, matted with fans in the hot summertime. We will blanket your horse in the winter if needed. If your horse needs special supplements or smark- paks that is fine too.

We feed alfalfa orchard grass hay from Kentucky and Southern States 10% pellet grain twice daily. The horses are turned out every day weather permitting. We can accommodate as few as 2 horses in one pasture together. We live on the premises and are retired. We have trailer rental so our customers do not have to purchase one of their own. We also have RV hookup for over-nighters.

We are located near many wonderful trail riding facilities such as, International Horse Park in Conyers, Charlie Elliott Game Ranch and trails and Hard Labor Creek State Park. We are a small barn that incorporates the Paddock Paradise method for horse boarding. If you aren't familiar with this method, please take a peek at our website for all the details. A quick overview: we want to provide horses with three fundamental items - Friends - Forage - Freedom. We have a "track" for the horses that is over a mile long. Having a narrower long path encourages the horses to move much more during the day. They have access to a covered 100 x 200 arena for shade and rolling, plus other shade structures, hay stations, and obstacles. We have 3 large pastures that we can use for a variety of reasons. We do 24/7 turnout because this is what is best for the majority of horses. but we do have 2 large 16x12 stalls that can be used by any horses if needed for medical reasons, or any other short term needs.

We provide bermuda hay 24/7 in slow feed hay nets as we want most of their calories to come from hay as opposed to green grasses. Included is a once a day feeding of timothy pellets (as base) with Vermont Blend Trace Minerals and salt. We are happy to feed other food and supplements if provided by the owner. We have a mixed herd of geldings and mares and take the appropriate time to introduce all the new members of the herd. We don't allow horses to have rear shoes so we can minimize any risk of injuries. We discourage front shoes only because of our use of slow feed hay nets.

Hot/cold wash stall. Small tack room with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and clean bathroom. Trailer parking available.

Barn is a very quiet friendly environment. We do not live on the property but have a neighbor that watches for anything unusual when we are not there and we have webcams that give me 24/7 access to view the property.

We charge $575 for one horses or $525/horse in families with multiple horses. We do allow, and love, people to help out around the barn to earn discounts off of the monthly board rate.... See More
