Welcome to a stress-free environment for horse and rider. Richlyn Farms is located at the end of a peaceful,quiet cul-de-sac road, yet in the heart of Wolcott.(10 min. to Southington, Bristol and Waterbury) Our barn's focus is providing excellent care for recreational, pleasure and trail riding individuals. We also care for retired horses. We have a 3 acre turn out to pasture(half of which is sunny/open and half shady/open area but w/protection of trees) we have a large, well lit outdoor arena and short on-site trails. Twice a day care is given to horse by a well versed horsewoman w/knowledge about dietary needs, physical needs and medical needs.(short/long term) She has great overall insight on all things horse related. We pride ourself on the consumption of locally grown hay and locally processed shavings.(for stalls) Stalls are matted and recently white-washed. We are in the throes of upgrading feed room, tack room, lounge and bathroom. Just under 20-acre facility located in Columbia, CT is offering individualized care with owners on site. All disciplines welcome! Our farm is quiet/low key with a friendly atmosphere. Our philosophy is that every contact with your horse is an opportunity for growth and learning. We have a very clean and secluded 10-stall center aisle barn built in 2012 (rubber mats, tack room, office/viewing room) and 13 paddocks with run-in sheds, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, modular round pen, grass fields and seasonal grass turn-out, trail system on property (under construction) or a short walk to airline trails. We offer riding lessons (Dressage, English/Hunt Seat, Western), therapeutic riding sessions, ground training lessons, a summer riding program, working student opportunities, home school program, Active Military, Veterans and First Responder programs; adult education series and new horse owner seminars.
