We are a professional, yet friendly, horse farm providing excellent care, and riding lessons for all levels, in Newtown, CT. We are not a high pressure show barn, but provide excellent quality instruction for reasonable rates. We want our students to learn and understand the basics to establish a firm foundation to build upon. Safety is first! We do not rush kids to canter and jump until they are adept enough at the lower levels to do this as safely as possible. Our horses are turned out ALL DAY, except for when extreme weather does not allow. Come and visit our friendly farm, and meet our knowledgeable instructors. Direct access to trails. Our barn features 8 recently renovated stalls, 1 wash stall with cold and hot water, a tack room and a bathroom for your convenience. We are situated on 30 acres and boast three large and flat fields, 2 outdoor riding rings and riding trails both on and off property for your enjoyment. Ridgeland Farms is a private facility located on 26 acres in central CT. We are only a 10 stalls facility and pride ourselves on quality care in a no drama atmosphere. Our 72x210 indoor riding arena provides a bright airy atmosphere even on a dark gloomy day Private lockers, wash stall and community tack room. Horses enjoy daily turnout, 12x12 matted stalls, individual nutritional feed programs and plenty of hay.
