We offer training from groundwork, starting your horse under saddle, tuning up your trail horse, to finishing your show horse. We specialize in cutting and barrel horses as well as train for cowhorse, all-around ranch horse, performance, and reining. Members of AQHA, APHA, NRCHA, ORCHA, NCHA, ICHA, ARHA, and RHAM. Sommers Lane Equestrian Center is a full-care boarding and training facility located in Cicero, IN. The facility is semi-private with only 8 stalls available to outside boarders. This allows maximum customization for each horse and boarder. Our facility is designed to accommodate riders and horses of all ages, disciplines and riding levels.
We are dedicated to SAFE and SUCCESSFUL riding for all disciplines. On-site owner and trainer teaches biomechanically correct riding, which is the foundation you need to succeed in any/every discipline.
We believe even the highest level of sport horse can be exactly that.. a horse. We offer 12-16 hour daily turn out, non-grain-based diets, low sugar and starch hay, herbal supplements, and barefoot trimming.
We have lesson and training packages available for everyone.. trail rider to serious competitors, horses needing a tune-up, or horses with serious behavioral issues.

We offer indoor horse boarding with your own stall, stall bags provided for your personal items as well as a tack room. Horses are brought in at night and go out every morning. You and your equine friend will experience many amenities, including spacious, matted, well ventilated stalls. Fully enclosed heated barn with 12 foot concrete aisle. Which makes working around your horse effortless and easy. We use quality hay, grain, and bedding. The stalls are cleaned daily. There is a round pen, indoor and outdoor arenas for your use. The barn is approximately a 10 minute drive from Potato Creek State Park.

Lessons are also available from an instructor/coach with a resume that includes World and Reserve World Champions, & Top Ten. Congress and Reserve Congress Champions, & Top Ten. National Honor Roll Champions, & Top Ten. Also, numerous Circuit Champions. All within AQHA, APHA, POA, PtHA.
