Often labeled as the first choice in Austin Hunter-Jumper facilities. Recommended by professionals from Texas and across the country to Austin newcomers. Rio Vista Farm, located on the banks of the Colorado River, opened to the public in 1995. The facility quickly became the premier Hunter-Jumper stable of Austin, offering top quality care and professional training for both horse and rider. We offer lessons and camps to keep horse crazy kids and adults happy year round. Riding lessons available for first timers through advanced levels on your horse or a Rio Vista lesson horse.
Located 3 miles from Austin Airport, within 15 minutes from downtown Austin and the University of Texas, and about 25 minutes from Westlake Hills (with van transportation service available from convenient Westlake location)
Rio Vista offers what many other area barns cannot: space to ride, breathe, and relax
Dotted with Pecan trees, fresh growing coastal hay, and a private lake, our 500+ acre facility offers plenty of room to roam. 52 total stalls, 10 individual live-in paddocks, pasture boarding, 10 grassy turn-out paddocks (with sprinkler systems), 2 large riding arenas (with lights and sprinkler systems) and open pasture riding space make up Austin's "Horse Heaven".
