Horse Camps in Douglasville, Georgia (Douglas County)

Fairhaven Farm is conveniently located to Rome, Summerville, Cedar Bluff, Cave Spring and Silver Creek. Owner/Operator Kimberly Wallace is the Assistant Equestrian Team Coach both English and Western at Berry College; she is American Riding Instructor Certified; is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist as well as earning her Silver and Bronze Freestyle Bars; is participating in the USDF "L Judges: Certification program; and a Preliminary Eventer (less than 6% of eventers compete at this level and above). Kimberly has both a lifetime of experience in both Europe and the United States as well as a teacher's heart so you will learn correctly from your first lesson and NOT have to re-learn/correct something later after it's become a bad habit!! Her goal is to help every rider achieve his/her goals safely whether they be basic riding or international competition. Her lessons are broken into small pieces and presented in a logical order to help each student and training horse understand one another clearly. Join us for 5 days of horse-filled fun! We take pride in offering a safe, educational camp that your child will love.

We are hosting 4 sessions this summer for 2015.

Session 1: June 8th-12th
Session 2: June 22nd-26th
Session 3: July 6th-10th
Session 4: July 20-24th

Each camp will run Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm.
It is recommended for children ages 6-14.
The price is $375 total for the week. If you register before May 1st, 2015 there is a discounted price of $350.

Each camp session will include:
Daily riding lessons
Daily horse education lessons
Daily crafts such as tye-dye, horse shoe painting, and treat making.

Horse-lovers paradise! Since 1954, the purpose of Valley View Ranch has been to help each rancher have the full opportunity of horsemanship through instruction, time in the saddle on trails, and the care and responsibility of having her own camp horse, all a'top beautiful Lookout Mountain. We offer several riding programs and encourage each camper to participate in all of them: English and Hunt Seat; Western Stock Seat and Barrels (Gymkhana); Trails and Vaulting. CHA instructors teach beginner to advanced riders. Each girl can spend as much time as she likes with her favorite ranch horse during her stay, or she can bring her own. Join us this summer at Butterfly Dreams Farm for “Horse and Farm Camp!” Activities will include daily horseback riding lessons, spending time with and learning about farm animals like goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, and more, fun games and activities, and arts and crafts. Both girls and boys are welcome.
