Horse Camps in Norcross, Georgia (Gwinnett County)

Summer camp season is approaching fast! We're offering two weeks of camp this year. Horse crazy kids will enjoy riding, learning basic horse care, fun games and crafts, and of course swimming to cool off after a horse filled day. Kids bring a sack lunch and we provide snacks. Camps are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Ages 7+. Bring your own horse for the week or use ours.

Wonderful horse camp for any type rider. Every rider has their own horse for the week and learn how to groom, tack, ride and general care of a horse. We have two riding sessions each day. Chase Meadow Lane has been offering the Summer Equestrian Leadership camp for over 12 years! Our program offers children the optimal hands on experience where they not only learn how to ride a horse, but also to immerse themselves in all aspects of horse care.
The program features include: proper horse care and barn management (including vet and farrier demonstrations), learning about equine nutrition (campers have the chance to help feed the horses on a daily basis), full games day on horse back, on/off-site trail riding, reviewing photos and progress of riders on a daily basis, horse-related craft projects, excellent school-horses, full and half-day enrollment options, and, most importantly, lots of quality riding and instructional time!

Fairhaven Farm is conveniently located to Rome, Summerville, Cedar Bluff, Cave Spring and Silver Creek. Owner/Operator Kimberly Wallace is the Assistant Equestrian Team Coach both English and Western at Berry College; she is American Riding Instructor Certified; is a USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist as well as earning her Silver and Bronze Freestyle Bars; is participating in the USDF "L Judges: Certification program; and a Preliminary Eventer (less than 6% of eventers compete at this level and above). Kimberly has both a lifetime of experience in both Europe and the United States as well as a teacher's heart so you will learn correctly from your first lesson and NOT have to re-learn/correct something later after it's become a bad habit!! Her goal is to help every rider achieve his/her goals safely whether they be basic riding or international competition. Her lessons are broken into small pieces and presented in a logical order to help each student and training horse understand one another clearly. Camps are available year-round and include traditional lessons as well as fun rides like mounted games, trails, horse themed crafts, horsemanship/barn talk instruction and fun shows.
