Andrew Sherman Farrier Service is small, veteran-owned, family business providing farrier services to the greater Southwest Florida area; Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, Collier, Sarasota, and Desoto County. Services available include but aren’t limited to; balanced hoof trimming, cold and hot horseshoeing, vet consultations, and modern material applications. We’re honored to provide service to all the horse, donkey, pig, and goat lovers in the area seeking an honest, caring, knowledgeable hand.

I was assigned to the US Army Old Guard at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In the Old Guard is were I spent three years as a member of the highly esteemed Cassion platoon, responsible for conducting funeral services while on horseback. Additionally, I was one of only two farriers in the Army, giving me the responsibility for the upkeep and care of all the horses; shoeing, trimming and cleaning.

I am an American Farriers Association Certified Journeyman Farrier servicing the south central, west, southwest Florida areas. Well-established, honest, knowledgeable, patient and punctual are a few attributes of my farrier practice. My skills include but aren’t limited to; balanced hoof trimming, cold and hot horseshoeing, therapeutic applications, pre-purchase consultations, vet consultations, and certain modern material applications. I take pride in my services for you and your equine companion. I will not work on pigs, goats or one horse trim stops. I’m sorry for any inconvenience that may cause, but I can try to refer you to another helpful and knowledgeable farrier. Prices are subject to change, depend on location and services needed. The prices for basic services are as follows; Trimming- $60-100, Front Set- $150-$200, Full Set- $225-$350.

15 years as a Farrier and Blacksmith in Pennsylvania, Just moved to Florida. Looking to build a new list of customers and horses. Currently only taking trims in the 75 Mile Radius of Clermont FL. 34714. All Business is ran through a email system until further notice.

My current services are as follows:
Trimming all kinds of Horses, and anything hoof related.
Natural Barefoot Trimming, Basic Laminitis Treatment, and Trimming Instruction. For anything else please ask first as new services will be coming available as time goes on. More services to follow as the customers list grows.

New Customers starting 1/1/2024:
For each customer you refer to the my services gets you 5$ off your services. This goes up to a total of 15$ max per location once every six weeks and stays with you as long as your with my services. I am looking to work with horses from the time they are born till you put them in the ground.
